- If you want specialty items, unusual items, high-end products, go to Costco
Costco tends to have higher quality products that constantly rotate. Sam's carries more traditional products and has a more steady inventory.
There's some other perks with the Executive membership too that may interest people (insurance discounts, car rental/lease/purchase discounts, etc).
Of course, this is only a good idea if you're within close range of a Costco. If you have to drive 30 miles to get to one it won't be worth it.

But, you don't need to let your car run while waiting in line. Pull up, shut it off, wait a few minutes. Repeat.

Just to reference, my wife and I fill up once a week in both of our cars at Costco, we shop there every two weeks or so, and spend around $200-$300 a month in the store (maybe more during Christmas/Thanksgiving), plus a big ticket item or two thrown in.
