I bought this TV earlier for the $2250 price and I am 100% happy with the quality of images. I have a rather bright family room and this TV is just great in the room. Sure I wish I got it for the current $1960 price, but I'm done wheel'n and deal'n for a big screen TV.... I'm just enjoying it now. Thank you SlickDeal members for posting about this TV !

It's a stretch to call them clowns for saying that. You are brazenly extorting them, they knew it and played along. I mean do what you will to get a deal, but they are clowns to offer 10% back in the first place, not for telling you it can't stack.

Strange as I have both and I wouldn't say far better. They both have advantages. In a pure viewing experience environment sure the C1 is the clear winner but it isn't "far superior". What has been your experiences to make that statement?
I ordered this tv and got it about 3 days ago. Before taking down my mounted 65" cx and putting up this 85" I did a side by side comparison. I absolutely love the size it's wonderful. But even the wife said the oled is so much better. She she's the one who initially said they're all the same lol
We ended up putting on Amazon uhd movie (jolt) on both tvs at the same exact time and wow. She ended up watching on the smaller oled and I was watching in the bigger non-oled but if you do side by side you'd see the big difference. Modern warfare looks slightly different too but not enough for me to really care too much about, plus we watch more shows and movies than I game.

Folks think this through.

Save $50 here or $100 extra one time... or continue to save big down the road.

I just feel all these cancelations will eventually put an end (or make it more complicated) to these big deals through EDU.
So true, but no matter how good of a deal they find, some people just can't help but try and squeeze for every drop *right now!* even if that's a poor decision in the long term.

And for the people questioning whether this is a good deal or not, the answer is HELL F**KING YES this is a fantastic deal. Why do you think it is limited to only EDU/EPP?

For reference on the ebb and flow of TV pricing, I suggest this article . It's held pretty steady over the years, even during the pandemic.

Is this the best price for this size or any chance it will drop lower still?

I haven't done the tablet/ TV combo, maybe can look at the thread on people who did the crazy triple combo deal for the 75" QN90a for $1600 to see if anyone returned the items. If you look under the order for TV and tablet, there will be two options to cancel each item. I tried clicking on cancel for the tablet and it states if I cancel the tablet, it will cancel the whole order as this is a special combo. So that probably means that if you returned the tablet later the TV will revert to the higher price.

I am returning the TV b/c I got it at the higher supposedly good price at the time $2250 (1 month ago) and they refused to do price match b/c I got the 10% cancel already. I have nothing else to do so we did the return and it's not that big a hassle.
Same! I tried talking to the rep and said wouldn't it be easier for Samsung to just refund me the difference instead of paying for my return shipment, paying for shipment on the new tv, then losing out on having the return tv now be an opened-box item?? They didn't seem to understand (or care) so now I gotta go through the ordeal of packing it all up and getting sent back. They told me I have to take to a Fedex but I'll call to see if we can schedule a pick up. What a bummer to have to go through all that but at the end like you said, the 2250 was a "great" deal esp w the 10% off but I was still finding it tough to justify paying more on this than my oled. I wonder if the 83" oled will ever drop to 2k or under. Thoughts?

Are you keeping the tv? I'm thinking of this or a 83 oled but the price difference is massive and my kids play games constantly so the burn in could be a problem with the oled.

Why not just send the new tv back as the old "return"?

That's the big debate. If I can get it for 18/17 hundred yea I'll keep it. I paid 1880 after taxes for the 65" oled so it's tough to be ok w paying more for lesser quality although it makes up for it in size.
I'd love the 83" oled, I wouldn't worry about burn in from what I see it's not so much an issue any more w these newer tvs but also w the 65" I got from Costco it came w some 4 or 5 yr guarantee so I feel comfortable w that. I'd def go oled. Like I said, [not to be sexist or anything] but if my wife can notice the difference (and at first she said she didn't care, it's all the same thing blah blah), then that speaks for itself: she'll tell you she doesn't care but then when it comes to firing it up… oh yea

Oh no! They track the serial numbers. Esp w something so big and costly like this. I read someone post about doing that before and they didn't accept the return. No thanks

I don't want to ruin the mood but not sure if this is a good deal 65" 1,189.99, 75" 1,680.13, 85" 1960.13... yea 85" for ~2K sounds cheap but not sure if this is worth 2K
Agreed. It's not so much of a deal as people are making it out to be. It's only a deal if you are truly in the market for this TV. At this point Best Buy is above this by a little bit (depending on your idea of a "little bit")

Hmm, not sure how you can say that. This is pretty much the best price this TV has ever been, and it is ultimately in limited supply as this is the 2021 model. Sure, you may be able to get it cheaper a month from now, but you're taking a risk that it'll go out of stock and never be restocked.
