My guess is they're just clearing excess stock of the watch and phone. The Flip3 was announced/released in August of 2021 and there are a ton of rumors pointing to the Google Watch being released in the next couple months.
Thanks for sharing - It's still a great phone/watch combo.
When I first stumbled upon this it had a -3 rating and 2-3 pages of comments. It's come a long way.
Those are the best kind of threads. People just skip through this deal when they see the rating. By the time the ratings swing toward positive and beyond, deal or stock is gone already. Gives me more time to think about the deal and maybe order 1 or more of it.
i) For some reason when getting Tmobile version there are higher trade in values, for ex: my S20 on Verizon in $200 and $300 on T mobile.
I went we Verizon because I can unlock within 2 months. I see people mentioning that they walked into the store and traded brand new Flip 3 for GF, wouldn't the phone be already active? How is every one trading in? Are you basically selling your phone back to BB for $600 GC?

Yes and you don't need to have your phone unlocked to do a trade in. I traded in a phone a few months ago and it's still being financed on my T-Mobile account. So it's still locked to the carrier and BestBuy had no problem taking it.

Can I pick up the phone from bb without activating on Verizon and going to another store and trading for $600 GC?

Depends on the BestBuy employee tbh. I had some insist that they have to activate it even if I didn't want them to activate it. Others didn't care too much.

By not activating on verizon, you mean not opening up the phone and sticking sim in and incurring activation fee? Or that fee is what you're trying to avoid?
If not trading in a phone towards the Flip 3, easiest method is ordering for store pickup. Grab the phone at pickup counter or have curbside delivery, and then leave. . .
If you trade in a phone towards Flip 3, you have to go to pickup counter, then mobile center, and then you should be able in most cases to leave without them opening up and activating it, but not all the time. . .

Can you still order the phone online if you're trading in a phone? Thank you

Yes, right now most TMO TIV's are higher than VZW at BB. But VZW is offering higher trade in values on their own site.
VZW phones unlock 60 days after activation when there is no payment due. . .TMO unlocks phones 40 days after activation assuming you own the phone (i.e. pay in full).
None of that matters with trading in these just bought Flip3, as those were pay in full, and BB doesn't care if they are unlocked or not.
Yes, can turn around and trade Flip3 for $600 BB GC, no purchase necessary.
Or go into store and get $800 TIV towards an unlocked Sammy phone
Or trade the Flip3 for $700 TIV credit towards a TMO variant phone.
Didn't check the VZW equivalent of the latter. . .

Yes, last night I ordered a TMO variant Flip3, with S21 trade, and $50 watch deal. Sent watch to a CVS, phone is going to BB store by Saturday. . .at which time I go to BB pickup counter to tell them I'm here, they take the new phone to mobile counter, where I first trade in my old S21 phone I listed on my order, and then leave with new ZFlip3.
Anyways, that's how online order for in store pickup and trade in works with BB. . .Standard procedure, and did the same last weekend (sans the watch, which is why I'm doing it again this week, lol)
I will have picked up the watch by Thursday, which is why I split up the shipping, just to make sure I got the watch before dealing with the rest. . .

Can you explain? Did they hand you a $800 gift card or did you have to keep the phone. (I'm assuming you did the Samsung TIV bonus)
In the end, I did 4 trade ins
1st 2 devices, I already owned - manager helped me and just gave me the gcs no problem (didn't have to upgrade or purchase new unlocked phones) *** net $1600
3rd device: got from this deal using gc from prior. Diff rep was working and insisted I have to upgrade to new unlocked device. I did so, to an s22+ (didn't have s22 in stock), then just returned it back to them on the spot ($800 gc back) *** net $200
4th device: same process as 3rd device. Went to a diff BB and got a chill rep who just gave me the gc *** net $200
In total, using my initial 2 z flips, I got $2k in GC and 2 galaxy watch 4 classic 46mm lte
Ended up buying a bunch of stuff and spent it all.. time to sell the watches now
