I haven't seen the first one yet but plan to. This one is one of my best looking 4K discs for picture quality. Pretty good movie too.

if you're set on watching the first, just watch the extended version... they cut out a bunch of little stuff in the theatrical release.

it was a shame... i enjoy Will Smith in pretty much everything and he was perfectly fine as Deadshot, i thought they did the character well. i also really enjoyed the take on Joker, i'm aware most people really didn't care for him, but i thought he was a fantastic present day adaptation. there were just so many things wrong with the movie beyond that.

Bless this film for utilizing JLA's first villain since they didn't have the balls to deliver up Starro in the Justice League film. It was magnificent.

All jokes aside, both aren't very good. This is one of the better DC movies, and they're doing better overall after waiting 5 years to reboot their franchises. Still don't have the same natural charm as the MCU movies. Backing Amber Heard and casting Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Birds of Prey...shameful.

I found the first Suicide Squad a decent superhero flick, probably one of DC's better recent movies. This newer Suicide Squad was filled with a ton of unlikable characters and felt like a bad rip-off of Guardians of the Galaxy, who had the same director.

The first is available in 3D but this one isn't. The latter is a better movie hands down.

I struggled to get through it as well. It's just not my vibe. While neither film is great I'd still watch the first over this.
