Just FYI for anyone who is interested in supporting bees, butterflies, birds, etc., these are likely not the right plant packages for you.
Most of the plants offered are not native to the U.S. (Liatris spicata is native to parts of the U.S.- but I would question whether you really want/need 40-80 of them.)
While some native bees/pollinators are generalists and can eat from any nectar source, the ones that are most at risk are the ones that need specific, native plants, to eat or for hosting their eggs.

Check out https://homegrownnationalpark.org/ as a good starting point. Also google "native plants " for local organizations that can tell you what plants are needed in your area and where to find them. You can also look up plants at https://www.wildflower.org/plants-main
And if you find other people in your area who geek out on native plants, they will likely have some to share.

Finally, for what it's worth, I've gotten amazing deals (at various times of the year):
- Seeds from https://www.prairiemoon.com/seeds/ (you can "winter sow" many of them)
- Plugs from https://www.thepollennation.com/ or https://www.izelplants.com/
- bluestone perennials has some 50% sales right now- only some of their plants are native, but just fyi
Etc. Particularly if you are looking for lots and lots of small plants, you can find good deals. I got some AMAZING deals at https://midatlanticnatives.com/ a month ago-- high quality bare roots (similar to bulbs) for $1-2 each by buying 25 when they were on clearance.

It is SO FUN to have a native plant garden- less maintenance and more pollinators. Realize this isn't for everyone, but wanted to share info for anyone who is doing it for the flora and fauna! (This is what I wish someone explained to me 5+ years ago!)

Is it too late to plant them this year, as it mentions best planted in the Spring?
We're in the Northeast zone.

Sorry I can't answer, but I can tell you that i believe things have been delayed in NE due to cold weather.

I was told at garden center that some ppl planted stuff like they usually do from previous years, but they had issues because of the unusually cold weather we had into early May (not counting this past weekend which was a scorcher).

All that to say, I'm not sure, but I think planting times got "pushed" a bit.

I would love to get this but my kids are terrified of bees. Makes it difficult to enjoy our yard 😞

Depending on where you live, the Ixia and Gladiolus will not survive the winter. I know that with Gladiolus, people dig them up and then store them in their basement or somewhere cool and dry for the winter and then replant them again spring. I am not familiar if the same is done with Ixia.

If you care which bulbs you get you'll want to look at the details in the woot and overstock pages since they differ.

woot:
Includes 30 Anemone Blanda, 20 Gladiolus Mixed, 20 Allium Moly, 30 Ixia Mixed

overstock:
40 Liatris Spicata, 30 Anemone Blanda, 20 Gladiolus Mixed and 10 Lilium Mixed

Are these for people with fully fenced backyards that don't need to worry about deer? They seem to ruin everything we plant where we live.
