CL20 is 2x the cost and there are only a few DIMMs available at that speed. There's one at CL19 for even more. CL22 is the mainstream sweet-spot for 32GB SODIMM DDR4

I just bought the Lenovo ThinkCentre M75q Tiny Gen 2 from this deal; ThinkCentre M75q Tiny Gen 2

It should be delivered tomorrow. All the reviews I've read recommend to upgrade to dual channel ram. Would this be a good upgrade or is it overkill for most business applications? Thanks

I miss the old days of ordering from Newegg and TigerDirect. I use to buy stuff every week.
It's nostalgic now. Kinda like a woot off.

64GB is likely overkill but at this price the stakes for overbuying are pretty low. Plus it's really fun to have lots of memory!

lol. I first paid like $300 for 32gb 3200, sold it for a loss, then bought 32 gb of 3600 for like $250. So much wasted money. And now I have to sell that for a loss (never sued any of it) to get ddr5 for 12700k.

CL22 ouch
My Desktop Mini wouldn't really know the difference.

For the longest time I really wanted to max it out at 64GB of RAM. But no matter how hard I try I can't stuff enough useful docker containers and VMs on it to max 32GB. LMAO

Use a ram drive. Load a VM into it and see how fast it runs

I have the 2x16gb set of this RAM and my laptop continuously blue screens with it. I tried it on another laptop and it also blue screens with this. I replaced the memory with the manufacturer and the new set also blue screened my laptops. I do not recommend this brand of memory due to this issue.

Have you tried memory tests?

Have run this exact set 2x32gb in a deskmini x300w. w/ Ryzen 5600g. no problems at all. I got it originally for my Evoo-lp-8, runs with no problem at all. It's back in my laptop now,but i wanted to see how it ran in the deskmini is all. Just fine.

Edit: IIRC it would actually take to a 3600mhz auto oc from the bios, don't know the speeds, was just tinkering a little.

My wild guess that your laptops are not fully /or at all/ compatible with this kind of ram?

This really isn't much a noticeable boost from 32GB (2600mhz, CMSX32GX4M2A2666C18) of Corsair Vengeance aside from the total amount, right? Which is probably overkill for most people aside from those doing video editing.
