288 Wh is the capacity. You can run something drawing 288 watts for 1 hour. 144 watts for 2 hours, 72 watts for 4, etc. If you draw the full 1200 watts, expect less than 15 minutes.
I have this model….it's solid. Lots of great features including pass through charging. Think of it as one of those surge protector/power strips with a battery backup. You can have this plugged into an outlet and then have a device or small appliance plugged into the River. it will run the device/appliance with AC power while charging(and maintaining) the battery in the river. When AC input is terminated, the battery in the River will take over immediately and power device/appliance. It charges very quickly and accepts 300 watts of solar input. The App is very well developed and intuitive with a plethora of info and the River itself has a great LCD/LED readout. An additional battery pack can be added to the bottom of this unit for 700+watt hours of power.
No. It's running watts is 600 with a surge of 1200 watts….it cannot sustain a constant 1200 watts but is more for things like a small fridge when a compressor starts up then levels out. The energy stored is 266 watt hours.

I've been looking into the delta pro or delta max. No experience with them, but I think they make solid devices from my research.

Can this work similar to a UPS or will the battery die quicker, if it is continuously plugged in? If like a UPS, is there any advantage to this over something like a 900-1500w APC/CyberPower UPS? I don't think UPS have watt hour ratings, but they have surge protection.

I've got a higher end model from these guys, from their Kickstarter campaign.

Solid unit and a solid deal, imo.

I have a river pro and there will be some loss with the AC to DC converter…forgot how much but it does cut your run time a bit.

can this be used as a UPS (uninterruptible power supply)? Would love to go to a lithium based system, even at the higher cost.
