This thing is super weak..250 ft lbs of loosening torque on an impact wrench is nothing. You can do lug nuts but good luck with stuff like caliper bolts and almost anything suspension related.

You probably shouldn't be trying to use a little compact impact wrench for jobs more suited to a mid-torque. That being said, this thing is surprisingly powerful for its size.

And surprisingly powerful for its size you say. Can you find very many impact wrenches that do less than 250 ft lbs? At the very least skip this and get the stubby. You wouldn't have to deal with the large battery in your way. Or, even better get the right angle impact. That does 220 and for the way that thing is designed and only being 2 inches in depth, THAT is surprisingly powerful for its size.

Milwaukee offers dozens of different impact wrenches in a wide variety of shapes, sizes, and torques. You should choose the one(s) best suited to the job(s) that you need to do.

If you need more than 250 ft-lbs, then choose a bigger wrench that can do that.

If you are someone like me you want to just stick with the M18 line. I don't need the M12 for my use case. That is why they cater to every size.

You realize this is a 3/8 impact?? For a 3/8 impact it puts out more ft/lbs then alot of 1/2 impacts out there. If you're taking heavily torqued bolts out I don't think anyone would reach for a 3/8 impact.

Source: I'm a farmer who uses these tools daily for applications much larger and wider then "suspension" the half inch impact from milwaukee will tighten my combines tires on to spec. It used to take a 1" air impact... Milwaukee is leagues above the rest and we've tested them far beyond your weekend projects.

What are you working on with caliper bolts or suspension bolts tightened more than 250 ft lbs? I have the Ridgid branded version of this impact (same manufacturer) and it takes off caliper bolts, tie rod to knuckle bolts, and other things.

Yeah? Cordless impact wrenches have been around for 20 some years. The first Li-Ion powered ones were in the 170 ft/lbs range and were still plenty useful for their time. Idk why you think your usecase applies to everybody else. Running M12 isn't going to work for people who need high uptime for repetitive tightening tasks. Or say they own a 2767 already and want something smaller to compliment it? Are you saying they NEED to go buy a tool that doesn't share batteries with it. What if they run a service truck, you telling people they need to give up valuable storage space for another array of batteries that they likely won't get as much use out of vs M18 or any other 18V platform? This might blow your DIY mind, but some of us have to carry about 5-6 compact impact (+ a mid and high) wrenches, for multiple people, on the truck, and I'm not switching any of them over to 12V class tools because they can't do the work an M18 can. Only 12V we carry are a rivet gun, die grinder and a ratchet, do not need any of the M12 impact wrenches. Batteries have too low a Wh rating (fuel tank) and watt for watt they charge slower than an 18V battery does as well. Not that you'd understand basic DC electricity if I even tried to explain it to you.

And the RA doesn't even break 150 ft/lbs in real world use (unless you think hammering on a bolt for 15 seconds before reaching such a value is acceptable, ofc), you just looked at an overinflated market wank number on a box and took it at face value.

Lol, typical lowest common denominator type consumer. You bought a couple impact wrenches and now you suddenly think you're an expert on them.

But I got a newsflash for you Walter Cronkite:

Yes we use the 1/2 inch and 3/4 inch at work when we do outages at power plants, oil refineries anywhere industrial that needs repairs. They work really well and in many cases we no longer pull out a hose and an impact. On the last job the turbine case was set to spec at 1800 and then you are talking specialty tools like hi torque, or a 3inch drive air impact but good God that is a heavy s o.b. But I digress, the 3/8 drive should pretty much cover you on anything for around the house. I can't think of anything on a car r in a home that's torqued to more then the 250 that this is rated for. But It 4am and I haven't had coffee yet so maybe forgotten a thing or two
