1TB HD: worth $20
2x 32GB Flash Drives: $5 each

Plus some eBay accounts have 5% eBay bucks right now, so this deal seems decent.

Refurb drives are always questionable. I've tracked them for years, and reviews are always mass reports of failures.

Also no or very little warranty.

Ahh, that's definitely out of the ordinary. Good eye.

Still, warranty on a $25 drive is somewhat irrelevant, as the risk for data loss is high, but not worth the hassle of the warranty process which is a bit of a PITA for drives.

The Dual drives are ABSOLUTE JUNK. Bottom 5 of all things I have ever bought from SD.

The idea is very ingenious, but the execution is horrible. I lost all of my data on a drive I bought many years ago (2014 I think?). To boot, when you push it into a port, you have to hold down the side button to make sure that the plug doesnt reverse to the other connector.

Stay away.

The dual drive is sort of useless. It's slow only usb 2. And the interface combo is weird. Usb 2 is good for older devices. Sure, but the micro usb is hella outdated.

All android phones are on usb c now. If it was a usb c port, would have been more useful.

I am a big back up nerd. But these drives didn't even last me two months. And it isn't like the data just got corrupted. The drive was literally not detectable by the computer anymore. Couple that with the design issues, and this is as bad as backing up to a dying hard drive with a proprietary connector.

Phew, good thing that'll help when the drive fails and he loses all his data /s. There's a reason why nobody should buy refurbed HDDs. A warranty replacement is about the last concern, whereas having your data still there is TOP priority.

Thanks for your contribution.

Bingo who the F gives a crap about a warranty on a 1TB hard drive when it's only 20 bucks and WONT get your data back?
