Just a heads up for anyone purchasing this planer. Speaking from experience, check the base as soon as you get it. These things are very heavy and often damaged when shipped because DeWalt does not use enough padding in the corners. If the base is cracked, the blades will not be level with the bed and will not plane flat. I got one delivered bad, but the second one was good.
