I made a post about this in a previous thread but nice keyboard for the price. I've used it for 6+ months now. The only issue I have is caps lock is turned on automatically once my PC starts so I have to switch it off but no biggie. Other than that it's been nice!

thanks for posting this OP and thanks as well Hoosier1 that is super useful info Smilie .. I bought one myself but sadly have not actually put it to use, it's sitting in the closet as a backup keyboard when/if one of the keyboards for the PC's in the house fails...

I did check out the amazon reviews, there was a complaint about how the "other" version of this (membrane rainbow) does not have lighting shining through the letters on the keys just around the keys which makes the keyboard hard to see if you're in a dark room - not sure if this review is accurate or not but if it is make sure you select the "wired-rainbow" option the OP gave us.

There is a little video of the wired rainbow version that the reviewer colin marcom helpfully provided on amazon ... even more helpful is the first review you'll probably see written by Christopher Ness with detailed instructions on how to control the RGB functions ... which isn't necessarily a criticism of the product sadly for a lot of items manufactured out there the instructions can be lacking and you have to figure things out on your own.

If you look at the last graphic block at the top next to the product, there are some instructions on how to control the keyboard lighting and functions.

I brought one. Looks like it might be easier to clean food crumbs from than standard keyboards. [lol]

Sadly:

"Blue" switches are fine if I'm working at home, but I wouldn't want to annoy my coworkers in the office with the loud sound.

But....$15 is a decent price for a full size mechanical keyboard. It *is* probably easier to buy this instead of cleaning your dirty one Smilie

So....as a newbie to mechanical keyboards (I have one of the old IBM mechanical keyboards but it has a PS2 port not a USB so I don't really use it) this seems like about as cheap as you can pay for a decent starter mechanical keyboard? It's not high end switches or anything like that, but it's good enough for the price, I'm guessing?

Referring to them as "Blue switches" means generic. Doesn't mean bad, probably a good deal for $15. And the ad says 10M strokes, not that I would believe these have ever been stress tested….

I bought this last week and was soooo surprised with the quality that I bought another for my "to go" bag when I travel. Not quite the right size for that but ehh, good enough for me. Ordered the 2nd 3 days ago while it was on back order and the delivery updated to this Monday.

Blue switches are great if you're alone a lot and WFH, but man having coworkers nearby on Blue switches is the most annoying thing ever hahaha

I use this as my back up keyboard. I'm actually using it right now!

I end up using this whenever my Razer Blackwidow Elite gets water spilt onto it, for example, and goes bonkers for a day or two.

It definitely has that distinct, LOUD, mechanical keyboard feel and performance. Very easy to get used to if you're used to using blue switches or razer green switches.

For $15 bucks it's a perfect backup keyboard for gamers or people who like the distinct feel of blue switches.

fyi caps lock start mode is a bios/registery setting and has nothing to do with a keyboard
