Is there a credit card company that doesn't require sending a code to a phone number when the card is used online when abroad?
When I try to use my credit cards online when abroad, they require that I enter a code that they only send via text. However, my U.S. phone doesn't work abroad, and I cannot receive such text messages.
I called my credit card companies and asked if I can receive the code via email instead, or if I can contact them from abroad with a local phone number when I can receive text messages, or if I can notify them in advance of the countries and dates of my trip, but hit a wall at every turn.
Any suggestions on how to find a credit card that would suit me?
Thanks.

Another cards for a great oversee use are Wise and Revolut .Fully manageable from the app,you can create accounts with different currencies and use everywhere. No fees and no problems at all, plus you have access to ATM cash. They are so far the best I have found to overseas transfers and spending.
Pick up a google fi sim and use it pretty cheap for data and txt
also, have a look at penfed cashback card, which is 2% back on all purchases(including international) & no annual fee(just need to open a checking account with them & maintain 500 min balance to get 2%) & no international transaction fees.
