That's because the android OS is highly inefficient. There's no reason to have 12-16GB worth of ram on a phone that 99% of the time you'd be using it to surf the internet and stream videos and music. Instead of making the OS more efficient and patching memory leaks, most android phones just add more ram which is just stupid.

My phone has 4GB worth of ram and it's fine.

Canceled amazon order and picked this one up.

* $120 less for 128GB less.
* Intel battery lasts longer than the AMD version
* Amazon has 1 year return, this one has 30 days
* Amazon has black, this one's platinum.

All in all, that's OK with me.

I bought that Lenovo 14ARE05 with the Ryzen 7 a couple of years ago and I hate it. Never buying another Chinese based brand again - user experience is almost always bad. I have a SL1 that I still use to this day.
