Spices enhance and create flavors. The salt and pepper only crowd are no different than the coffee should only be served black crowd. Your preference is not wrong and it is not right. Suggesting otherwise is snobbish.

I don't put this on steak but love it for burgers. This plus Worcestershire sauce makes for easy but tasty burgers, especially if making a bunch for a party. I put 1 Tbsp of each per pound of beef.

They have a Montreal chicken as well and the ingredient list sounds better but the lowest its been is $5.98:

garlic, onion, salt, black pepper, parsley ,red pepper, paprika, orange peel, green bell pepper, sulfiting agent.
