Neither tool really benefits heavily from being brushless, aside from maybe a few minutes of extra battery life.

If you're burning through batteries with these, you're either using the wrong tool or the wrong blade.

No doubt brushless motors have many advantages, as there's lot less/no friction in transmission of power, hence less heat, more battery life, more net transferred power to the application at hand. That said, they are also 30% costlier at retail. So it comes down to deal value and return on investment. If you are a technician who's using these tools everyday, then roi of costlier brushless tool would make sense. Overall, this is a great deal. I got them last go around and happy with it for my needs

okay? no one is disputing that, but the difference is negligible for the type of people in the market for brushed ryobi - homeowners and DIYers. if you are using them professionally, yeah, maybe it was a bad choice.

i spent 90 minutes the other day pruning 1-2" thick branches with my recip saw, the 4ah battery was still at 75% when i was done. i don't envision a scenario where i would go through even 1 battery, let alone the 2 that I own.

Looks like it might be dead? I'm getting:

I think that's understood due to the price.

I don't need another brushless Saws-all... but could use the multi-tool. Can the Saws-all be returned without blowing up this deal?

I looked into the brushless version of the multi tool and declined after seeing it was a switch rather than the trigger. I was pretty sad TBH

Probably a temporary glitch..... "3,995 ready for delivery" .... They seem to have plenty of them for free delivery.

.
If just starting and needing some tools for around the house, the HD deal with two 4amp batteries, charger and a tool for $99 is hard to beat.
