Team Group CX2 2.5" 1TB SATA III 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) for just $64.99 with free shipping at www.newegg.com [newegg.com]. I think this is a Memorial Day deal at newegg.com because this Team Group CX2 1TB SSD was selling for around $71.99 or more. This is the first time within the last 12 months that I have seen its price drop down to $64.99. Pretty good reviews too.

This drive going to be good for my old PS4 pro?

The price is right... And I'm not a huge gamer so I don't think spending more than double for the 2tb is worth it for me... Thoughts?

If you're not a big gamer you might as well stick with the stock drive unless it's defective. Otherwise it will work and you'll see moderately better loading times in most games and faster system startup.

It will give you moderate speed boost and reduce thermal sensitivities.

You might be thinking of the PS4 or slim whiich has SATA 2, the Pro has SATA 3 which would take advantage of the benefits of an SSD. It made a difference in noise, heat and load times

The Pro still has other bottlenecks that limit the transfer speed (according to Digital Foundry) so it isn't the same as using it with a SATA 3 on a PC, but yes there are still benefits and it's hard to go wrong at this price. If the guy said he was a big gamer I would say go ahead and do it. If you only play the occasional game it probably isn't worth bothering with.

I'm thinking not staring at 2-3 minute long load times might be worth it though. I have a 2.5 year old - so every load screen is potentially child-aggro.

So nothing wrong with the stock drive - but I still am leaning towards jumping.

Anyone know what I need to do to clone my old drive?

If anyone knows, what size is the PCB? Does it take up the whole casing? This is what I mean: https://images.anandtech.com/revi...C_1057.jpg

I need a small PCB SSD for my project.
