Depends on the locations. I know my lowes at 98118 will never fall to 75 percent off.
The main reason the store clearance these days not falling to 75% is because they push these deals via shills to SD and other discount forums early in the process. The people think it's a great deal and snatch these items at much higher prices. Or, alternatively, there are multiple scalpers who run around and buy all clearance for resale.

Especially considering I had been thinking of getting a digital angle finde in the past.
This came up and I was considering getting one, but you're right... A digital one would be much more accurate and not a big cost difference.

They would sell them to the overstock markets before they went that low and get more money. But that's my area only. Can't speak for others.
