They make a specific one for descaling, this one is more for cleaning machine parts that touch coffee oils, such as the portafilter and group heads on espresso machines.

If you had a pack-your-own-coffee nespreeso pod, I'd be curious if you could load some in to at least clean the spout which probably has a lot of old coffee stains on it.

You can also use it to soak coffee stains out of stainless mugs or French presses. Got rid of stains in mugs that were years old, I even brought some to my parents' to clean out their mugs too with almost no scrubbing.

It could be considering the uses but without being able to find the ingredients to compare, I can't say for sure. Cafiza is significantly cheaper though, and some reviews of Bottle Bright mention it's basically rebranded denture cleaner marked up.

Cafiza removes coffee oils and grime off parts that come in contact with coffee while Dezcal descales the tubes where minerals in the water may build up.

This stuff works great to remove oils and caked on residue. I use it once a month backflushing the machine as well as soaking the portafilter and shower screen.

Yes, this one is put in the portafilter and cleans the PF and group head (you need a back flush filter though). Dezcal goes in the water reservoir and soaks, then is run through the machine to clear mineral deposits.

You really need both IMO, as they are two very different things.
