I love these ultra small form factor PCs, but this is hardly a deal. You can regularly find these types of PCs for just a few dollars more with twice the RAM and a usable drive size.

It doesn't look like it will support Windows 11 either:

I'm sorry but $200 for an old ass used PC like this is absurd guys.

You can get a modern $200 mini PC that is not only more powerful, but a lot more power efficient, and takes up a much smaller physical footprint to boot.
Do you have some recommendations?

I wouldn't worry about windows 11. It's going to be DOA. Almost always is XP good, vista bad, 7 good, 8 bad, 10 good etc. When they announced 10 they said it would be the last windows version.... and of course now theres windows 11 which is 10 with new paint, moving stuff around and annoying everyone with the changes they force on everyone. Only people with the newest intel cpus may like it based on the different cores which handle different tasks better in windows 11.
I'm not in a rush to use Windows 11, but what do we do when Windows 10 support ends? Gotta use something. And some folks may not want to use Linux.

I know there are hacks to force-install Windows 11, but I wonder if Microsoft would at some point stop pushing critical updates to computers that have the "hacked" Windows 11 installation (hacked in that it bypasses CPU and TPM requirements).

But how long would it be supported with critical updates?

Windows updates should not be effected by disabling the Windows 11 CPU/TPM requirements. It simply would not get updates related to those items, because you don't have them to begin with. Cant update/patch what isn't there. All other Windows security updates/patches should still install without any trouble.

Thanks for the info. I have an old Dell laptop (E7470) that is not "certified" for Win 11 because the CPU is too "old". It is also only running TPM level 1.2 instead of 2.0. In a year or so I may use one of the tweaks to get Win 11 on it, as I don't know if I want to run Linux on this.

That feeling when you read some 300 odd comments and have no idea what most of them even mean.

Anyone happen to use this as a Plex server by chance & care to comment on it?
I have a 6500T and it can't transcode 4K at all and has issues with high bitrate video. If you use subtitles or Roku devices you may have issues.

I loved mine for years but after I got a 4K TV I noticed how hard it was for it to run properly.

I wouldn't go for anything under a gen 8 if you can afford it.

What does the transaction show up as on the statement? Trying to check if it's same as purchasing from Dell.com so it would trigger Amex offers

So is Roku your plex client? No Apple TV, nvidia shield or firestick 4K?

Windows 10 support ending is overblown. Look at how long Windows XP and Windows 7 ended up being supported.

I use one as an Emby server with a 12tb western digital external hdd. It performs really well, though I do have to set the Sabnzbd to not extract while downloading. That is more of a fault of the capabilities of using a single hdd rather than the machine though. Overall it works well as long as your machine has an SSD as the OS drive rather than an HDD.

Roku 4K and 4K Ultra. Wish I kept my shield that I had but what can ya do. All good, got a 12400 now and it's fine. Not very efficient as quick sync is still a mess. Hopefully they'll figure out these drivers soon.

Quick Sync is a mess? How so? Sorry to hear that.
