In my (anecdotal) experience Best Buy open box items are frequently miscategorized, often being better condition than stated. At 75% off some good deals can be found. Can always return.

I have the opposite experience where items haven't been tested and were basically E-Waste

Fair condition means no charger included, floor models, or heavily used. Rarely they like new unless the store wants to get rid of it fast

Not finding any, what zip code did you see where they had availability?

anyone actually get in on this deal? been noticing that BestBuy.com has been leaving up stale open box pricing on their website (possibly as clickbait)

Agreed, I recently bought a 55' Sony A90 in good condition. The condition was more like fair, without a box, no remote,no power cord, with legs attached wrapped in plastic bubble wrap. It seemed more like the Fair condition model. I would just shoot for Excellent condition all the time and possibly open the box there or buy the warranty with it

Sadly i've been burned too many times by Bestbuy's open box items. Last 3 motherboards i ordered (2xLGA1700, 1xAM5) had bent pins (and these were listed as excellent condition), got a Dell laptop in excellent condition and it was missing charger (thankfully used a 65w type c charger), and a TV i bought in excellent condition was missing the stand (LG OLED).

I've heard of people purchasing an open box item. Then on another order purchasing the same item new. And return the open box item under the new order. The audacity!

Best Buy records serial numbers for most large items. Open box less guaranteed, but if you buy a new TV, its serial is on the receipt.
