I just bought this one from Amazon for $6.86 like 2 weeks ago and it's solid. Same concept as this deal, it's a cooler too but I only use it for trash. The top flap is what sold me.

Thanks! Great deal! They're out of stock for 2-day shipping, now, but still ship with 4 to 6-day (free w/ Prime).

Quality seems decent based on reviews. The bin holds 2.2 gallons and uses 2-gallon liners. Dimensions are 10.04 x 5.91 x 8.66 inches. This model has no lid or top cover, but does appear to have a clasp at the top that lets you press the two sides together.

The included 20-pack of "liners" appear to just be grocery sacks, but that's fine by me. I always have plenty of those, so they're easy to replace. If you want to buy the brand's "liners" they're available in a 40-pack for $5.59 after clipping the 20% off coupon, plus free shipping w/ Prime. I thought about the closable flap but in SF Cali there are lots of break-ins so maybe label it as "trash" just to be safe. I would have bought it if it had 2 gal.

Yeah I hear ya, they actually sell this exact can in 1, 2, and 3 gallon. Just search car trash can cooler in Amazon and adjust the price and you'll see several under $10. Thing is great!
