Carlinkit 4.0 is out. Can do both android auto and Apple CarPlay. I just received my 3.0 from last post at $54 that only does CarPlay from LightInTheBox. Took about 2 weeks. Only issue is that you need to install LightInTheBox app to get the price. There's a code EVENT that saves $6 off $59.

"I have 3.0 and suffered the audio delay issue too thats annoying when playing video. Luckily you can adjust the delay for it to be in sync. When your phone is connected, go to http://192.168.50.2 and lower the audio delay to 400ms or tune to your liking. I think this will help a lot of people."

Mine has been working OK but it does have a ~60-second delay to boot and connect.
I could also not connect to the device over wifi to get to the config. I confirmed I'm connected to its 192.168.50.xx wifi and its IP address but it just times out. I tried this from both an iPhone and Android.
Apparently, they can be updated via USB but you have to email carlinkkit directly for the firmware file https://carlinkitcarpla

Thanks, it's good to know that the WiFi connection does work. I actually bought mine from carlinkkit so I'll send them an email to see if there's an update to try.

They are late in releasing it because of the optimizations they were adding to theirs for stability etc.
