Ive had this card since launch. Its been solid. Things huge though. You need a big case and a videocard stand or it will bend your mb.

I think thats probably a bit optimistic. I'm waiting for either a 6900xt or a 3080 12gb card to get near $600. IF that doesnt happen I see no reason to buy now. I've waited 2 yrs with a 970, a few more months aint gonna hurt waiting for a the 4 or 7 series.

No no in 3 months a 4080 is announced and will be impossible to get u til like 2023 or 2024 in that time they're not going to discount or at least heavily discount (250 dollars off) the 3080. Same way that on announcement of 3080 there was not a 250 discount on 2080 you couldn't find either.

Also, I doubt the improvement to 4080 will be such a big improvement . And nvidia could also price the FE 4080 at 900 or 800 and keep FE 3080 at 700. Cause it's selling like hot cakes at this price

There will be a race to the bottom. Have seen this cycle down before. With a recession looming, manufacturers will blink and the 3 series prices will be obliterated. They are more scared of a glut at lower prices than optimizing their profits. Just wait and see. Anyone who buys now will probably regret not waiting a few to several months when all of the used and new 3 stock goes on clearance.
