Anyone deciding between the 40L and 50L, they have the exact same dimensions but the 50L is 2.8" taller. Went with the 50L. Differences outlined below. Thanks OP!

Excellent price! I would suggest to get the 50 capacity. I bought the same thing at Costco last year for $260 after a $75 discount .

For smaller cars: the 30 liter version is only $149, I don't think it's ever been that low at Costco. In for 1.

I bought the 30L at Costco for $243 a couple of weeks ago. Great price. Keeps drinks and food cold. I haven't tried to freeze anything but it did turn a few drinks into slush. One downside is there is a large window for the temp setting. I'll set to 26f then it'll cool to like 22f then it'll go to 29f before cooling kicks in. But overall if you don't want to spend to get a Dometic or something, this is a good alternative.

Are the quality of these electric coolers superior to that of the Coleman and Koolatran thermoelectrics? We have used Coleman's over the years, but they don't seem to last long even with limited use.

I have an Alpicool CX30 that looks identical to this 30. Bought on lightning deal for $220 September 2019. Looks like they just threw their stickers on it. Even these Massimo ones if you look at the photos it shows CX30 CX40 when looking at the dimensions.
Alpicool current models look different. So
Maybe just their older version like I have.
No complaints. Awesome cooler. Only uses 37watts when running. Have had running for weeks on a solar panel and battery.
I'm in for a bigger one.

Damn, bought a off brand like a year ago and it was $280 for the 50. This is a steal! Mine has been running 24/7 as a freezer, no complaints. Just be aware that the top part close to the lid the items won't be frozen like the rest of them do.
