Please note that while this thing is basically the ideal Plex transcoder, if you want to be able to do HDR tone mapping in hardware then you will need to use Linux on it. With that on, you could easily transcode a half dozen 4k h.265 HDR videos simultaneously.

It's honestly pretty amazing. It's because for some reason Intel decided to include it's highest end laptop iGPU in this NUC. This gives it way more graphics cores for hardware transcoding than any other Intel based desktop device.

Not included. This is not for general use, it's really for if you specifically need a 4" square PC. You can get the same hardware in a laptop with a screen for about the same money.

It has thunderbolt (or for that matter even USB 3) just add one!

I see it now, decent price. I own one and very happy with it, but I'd get dual channel, either get another 16GB stick or sell it and buy 2x8GB.

Yeah no drive or OS. It has a gen 4 NVME slot and a 2.5" SSD slot.
