I ordered this yesterday after price searching for weeks. There are cheaper brands but not built as well. This comes with monkey bars and wood roof with free shipping. Is this better than the Costco one? I know nothing about these but I remember seeing two slides on the Costco one, and slightly cheaper at $1149, want to pull the trigger but assembling it in 95 degree Dallas weather is what keeping me from it.

I believe gorilla is better made. Some sets are made for younger kids, some older. You REALLY need to compare the details. Some companies use thicker wood so they have better structural strength. Look at the reviews. Some brands are constantly given bad reviews. Before I bought this one. I chose a budget and I narrowed my brands to backyard discovery and gorilla.
Are you able to install this yourself? If not you can pay upwards of $500 to have it done for you.

I built this exact playset last year. It is definitely decent quality. The wood is a bit soft and if you want it to last you should apply a protective finish when you first put it up. Overall im happy. It took me 1 day and a case of beer to put together by myself. My son loves it and plays on it daily so id say its a sound investment.

Edit: I just noticed this model has the monkey bars. I payed just under 1k about a year and a half ago for mine and the only thing missing is the monkey bars. not sure those are worth $250. But i guess with inflation this might now be a good deal.

Thanks for the info you supplied. I ordered this June 4th.. They advised it would be delivered July 6th. Surprise, it's already shipped with delivery date of June 9th.
