Dongle is preferred as I will use a hub with this and will use the keyboard with PC too, I have a KVM to switch.
Bluetooth won't work as I use KVM and need solid connection as I switch between.

if so, check out Logitech's Flow collection. A few keyboards and at least the MX Master 2 and 3 mice. super seamless switching between connection computers, even across platforms. for a while I was swapping back and forth between a Mac and a PC with no issue. you can even set up side by side monitors and the mouse and keyboard input will switch when you simply move the mouse cursor over to the monitor of the other computer. way nicer than all the hardwired KVM setups I've ever used. and all the devices can run off Bluetooth or an included USB-B dongle.

So short answer yes USB dongle is ok.
I do have mouse without borders 2.1.8 and works great, sometimes it does not carry the keyboard over which is frustrating again I dont know if its my KVM or what. Sometimes the light on keyboard is not on so I know its a power issue, plugging in and out about 4-5 times gets it going so I tend to not touch the KVM switch much.

Now this is a he tabs8 plus, but just saying. I sold my last iPad for this, my first Andy tablet and it whipes the floor with it in terms of productivity... For me
