Just picked up a near new (still had plastic film on the side rails) Tab S7 plus for what is probably the best tablet deal possible (without a trade-in). The real deals are the Satisfactory condition. If you have one in your area available, check it out

QA Note: Stock and availability will vary by location. If not in stock for you, maybe try another city or zip code if you can.

Yeah idk where it came from honestly. I check the Samsung tablet deals often (was hoping an S7 would pop up but those are long gone). I can't see it having been a display because the condition is so good. Unless they cleaned it up really well, and even then...the plastic wrap. Plus, most of those are rated 'Fair' anyway but I guess it can depend on the store. Thought I'd mention it in case it can help someone out.

I've owned it before and traded toward the s8 ultra. Now I'm wanting something a little more mobile again. Had a tab s6 but 60hz oled is somehow even worse in motion than a good 60hz lcd sometimes (Oled highlights the shortcomings of low(er) refresh content). Traded that towards z fold 4 bc At &t wanted to give me $1k for it. Ideal mid sized for me would be 11-11.5 inches. I hear the Lenovos (pro in the west/xiaoxin pad in the east) are pretty good. Oled and 120hz with good speakers and performance. Middling software compared to the excellent Samsung tablet experience though (split screen and taskbar are amazing on every Sammy device running the tablet firmware, even the slow ass 2020 s6 lite I trialed from BB which was clearance for $140). Lenovo's 2022 model was on sale for $340 to start ($380ish now). Good deal if you need a mid sized tablet competitive with s8 and aren't attached to the Samsung ecosystem. Too much for me when I just ponied up for a new phone and this is a second or even third device of the same kind. Couldn't pass on it for the price though and kept the nice folding stand case from prior ownership so that was icing on the cake.

I was luck to pick one up in my area. Problem is that it didn't come with a pencil. Is it worth it to buy a pencil for $60?

I also saw that you can pickup the satisfactory condition 256 8GB version for $302. But none in my area.

Relevant, but I've had nothing but good experiences with Best Buy open box items. I bought a used S2 Tablet from them years ago and only recently replaced it with a S8+.

Personal preference, honestly. My S8+ came with a pencil and I rarely use it - it's also a bit awkward in the case I bought (not first party, unsure if official Samsung is better engineered). I do use it from time to time, but I mostly use my tablet for casual browsing, reading, and some fame playing. I use mine on my phone (included / stored well in phone) far more often.

The official book cover has a place for it inside the case. Strong magnets too. Although you still have to be careful moving the tablet into standing positions. The bigger and heavier these tablets get (s8 ultra has the problem far worse) the more careful you to be with magnetic cases, lest your delicate glass slab end up flying out of the case, smacking face down onto a hard surface bc you tried to fling it into place. I recommend it if you can find it cheap though. Very convenient and looks slick.

I'm seeing EDU/EPP pricing at 929-400=529 for that model.
