Your math is correct, but just know that some Best Buy wouldn't know how to process the enhanced trade in value correctly. I suggest you bring a print out showing the $450 trade in value, but even then, there is no guarantee that you'll get it.

I drove for 20 minutes to a Best Buy the other day just to be told that my phone (Z Flip 3) was not on their trade in list, even though I said I did the same deal just a week ago at a different store. I argued for 20 minutes and didn't get anywhere, so the next day I went to a different store and got the deal in less than 10 minutes.

Not all Best Buy employees are trained the same, so don't be discouraged if one store says no, and just go to a different one.

FYI, you only get these prices if you activate the phone on the big 4 carriers.

When you go in the store to trade in, many of them will have trouble with the trade in value. They'll offer you whatever low amount they would typically give. You'll need to correct them and tell them it's a promo. Show them the webpage on your phone on the BestBuy site (go to any S22 product page and there's a blue heading above the price, click that).

Then, they may believe you but have trouble figuring out their system. When they pull up the model for the trade in, they have to go past the initial screen. When they do, the promo should show up. Then it's going to ask them for the promo code. That code is literally SAMSUNG. It's nowhere to be found otherwise.

I've traded in 3 phones under this promo because of the high values they're offering. Each experience varied.

1) First store did it without issue once I balked at the low trade in and mentioned the promo. He knew everything.

2) Second store couldn't figure out where the promo was and is responsible for the info I provided above.

3) Third guy refused, said they don't do trade ins and when shown the promo called his manager. Manager said Best Buy would have to be stupid to do this and refused. Lol. This was the same store as the first time, just different employees. Went to another store and they did it just fine.

Point is, the experience will vary widely depending upon the knowledge level of the employee. Just be polite and patient and stick to your guns. Most of them just aren't aware of the promotion or familiar with how to do it. One manager was so happy when I told her I thought I knew the promo code that she fist bumped me and thanked me profusely twice. Only one guy was a complete @$$.

This enhanced trade in is only when you walk in store and ask them for the enhanced trade in values for unlocked samsung phones. They should find it in their system and use the code "samsung" and then it will show up. They will first process the trade in and give you a BB gift card. Then you can buy the new phones by using this gift card against them
Thanks so is the Z flip 3 5g going to get 350$ normal TIV plus another bonus 450 enhanced TIV total making a 800$ gc?

This worked for me. You need to go to the store, do the trade in first. Get 800.00 giftcard, and then order the phone online for pickup at that store. Worked great.

"New line or new account $799.99, upgrade $899.99."

Does "upgrade" mean keeping the same provider and line? So if i trade in a Note 10+ (keeping my t-mobile service and number), it would be $900 - $450 = $450 is my cost?

Thanks!

Getting a S22U 256gb and trading in a S20+ 128gb. About $200 cheaper than the deal on Samsung. Now it's about finding one in stock. Went to the Pasadena store today and even though the website said they had them, the rep said they didn't. Trying other stores tomorrow.
Same here. 😄 I am though waiting if any freebie with ultra on 4th July.

I bought mine for $288 after trade in my S22 ultra. Now it's $88. I guess it'll be free after trade in next month.
I'll wait for that deal! 😊

Thanks OP. I was able to stack all deals. Grabbed a Z Flip 3 |+ Watch, then traded the phone for $800. Was able to then get an unlocked S22 Ultra 256GB for $899+Tax. I did see an option to get it for $799+tax with a carrier if I added a number. But, it kept erroring out when trying to create a new number and I didn't want to lose out on the last S22 Ultra, so I paid the extra $100+Tax.

Anyone know if you do create a new line on say, AT&T..can you cancel the line/account immediately and not incur any fees? I imagine it would have been cheaper than the extra $100 but I didn't want to risk it.

I have the 20FE. If you check, that is a $400 trade in. If you go with a carrier plan and get unlimited you will get MUCH more for trade in. In my case it shows $800 for my 20FE with Verizon or ATT unlimited. This is NOT posted to debate the value of the unlimited plan.
I have Verizon and an unlimited plan and an S20 FE to trade too. So it's only $50 to upgrade to the S22U. In store only?

I do not see an option to trade S22+. I was hoping I could trade in my S22+ for S22 Ultra.
