I have this vacuum and it gets the job done. It's nothing fancy, but has good suction. The canister has two latches on either side to detach it and is relatively easy to clean. I also have a Dyson DC40 and I prefer the Shark Navigator.

I've not had good experience with shark cordless. Battery is one problem.. but the suction is not up to mark.. Their customer service is also pathetic. As per the warranty they cover battery issues for 6- months. I've had issues and I need to fight and escalate to get me a new battery. But the surprise came with the mail that they shipped an empty box..
This a corded model. Just wanted to make sure everyone was aware.

This is corded and suction is much stronger than most cordless.
I've got a similar model that I got 6 years ago and it still works great and is easy to use. Not as convenient as cordless but it's a solid vacuum that cleans well--especially for the price!

I replaced my Eureka with this model about 5 years ago. Still works great, it's a solid performing vacuum I'm still pretty impressed by what it pulls up. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat. The filters pull from under the dust canister and rinse with water every 3-4 uses.
Wish it has the self-cleaning brushroll like the CU500.
I have the CU500 got it on sale for $99 a couple years back and the self cleaning brush roll is a game changer. I had an old hoover that was great but would always clog up with hairs (live with 3 women, 2 cats and 1 dog) and every so often had to take it apart and cut/yank out the hairs very troublesome. The self cleaning brush roll is not 100% some hairs still get stuck but very negligible it will still turn.

The shark may be cheaper in store, I think I saw it for as low as $74.
