i will never buy any front load washer again
With American brands such as Whirlpool, I think they make some models on their own and outsource others. It really depends on the models.
I have had my Kenmore top loader for 20+ years and repaired it once. It still works and the repair mechanic told me that newer washers don't last as long.

We put LG front load in apartments and quite thankful there were/are also drains in the tiled floors. When they work, they are great, but when they leak... what a mess it can be.

There are pros and cons to agitator vs impeller, but different risk of leaking is not one that I have heard.

Had a very hard time deciding on a new washer and dryer because almost every single brand seems to have a high percentage of bad reviews especially with all the unnecessary "high tech" garbage in them.
Researched and LG seemed to be best of the new bad laundry appliances....using Consumer Reports (no longer trustworthy?), USNews ratings, and reading many Home Depot reviews.
Not sure if the new home has a drain for washer leaks but I will at least get one of those pans for underneath.
Chose Costco for the return policy.
