All of the reviews are prefaced with:
""

The one review that wasn't part of a promotion is negative:
"Cheap, and useless
Would Not Recommend
Every screw I have tried has cammed out. Two have even snapped in half when trying to use a screwdriver to go into a pine 2x4. Had to drill out and use proper screws. Waste of money!!!"

Anyone have experience with these? They might still be a decent buy between the cases being useful for other things and the fasteners potentially being useful for light duty stuff. Curious if they are as bad as the above review indicates.

I have this from a previous deal and it's definitely not quality but has been useful several times.

If I'm working on something and need a replacement or new bolt/nut but don't know the size, this has allowed me to temporarily get it fixed or prototype the build. Once I know what I need I replace it with something that isn't pot metal, but I at least can do that later and not pause my work to go to the store if I don't have it in my garage already.

lol... that's hilarious, i looked at each as well and saw the same thing. if a product is getting a rating of 4.4 with 95% of the reviews being paid/promotion based, it's a garbage product. even the cases aren't great... the closure clips aren't hinged, it's just thinner plastic. the hardware itself is your generic chrome plated crap steel.

if people are looking at something like this, save yourself the headache of crap hardware and just buy bags of the size you actually need, when you need it.

Great buy if the quality is decent. 87% of reviews are 4 or 5 stars but only 18 total reviews.

These sets are nice to have for misc stuff. Harbor freight sells similar kits and they might even be cheaper. They won't come in a big organized case like this though. But the small shaken up cases they do come in are nice because they are small and don't take up much room for something you probably won't use very often.

bought it from a previous sale. It's better than IKEA wood screw and Walmart fastners.

Lately when I place orders at Lowes, I'll get the email afterwards offering me a Lowes gift card for submitting a review.
Oftentimes I haven't even had a chance to use the product yet but that's not stopping Me from missing out my free Gift Card: "Looks good. Seems like a good value."

I bought these about half a year ago. Quality is okay. It was mostly for the convenience of having fasteners on hand without having to make a trip to Home Depot/Lowe's/Ace. The cases aren't great but I transferred the pieces to different organizers.
