If this is the style with the vacuum operated brushes I'd stay far away. Finally threw mine out after pulling the head apart about 5 times to free up the bearings. Water gets in the bearing that the vacuum wheel operates on and corrodes and locks up. So pretty much every time you use it and then go to use it again it's locked up and the brushes don't work until you disassemble, free up the bearing (wd-40, etc) and reassemble.

Remember, you're looking at a vacuum not a mirror

Just print out a picture of your celebrity crush and tape it on. You won't regret it. Problem solved and everyone is happy.

The old ones had a spinner problem. These are finally fixed and actually work. I can't believe they even used to sell the ones that the spinner doesn't work lol

that is Factory Blemished
FWIW, I ordered a "factory blemished" one from a previous DTO deal, and it seemed NIB.

This is still a great deal compared to retail, but I'd still consider waiting on the next DTO deal if you don't need a carpet cleaner now.

Any reason to upgrade to a newer one? I have an older carpet cleaner from 2013 that works fine but wondering if I'm missing out on anything major.

they go on sale for around $300. Completely worth it, the best you can get aside from hiring professional carpet extractors. Most of these are just carpet "shampooers" and leave way too much water in your carpet/pad. Y

ou can rent one and most box box stores to try it out.
Don't ever rent a. Appetite cleaner. They will bring filthy pet poop germs to your home. Think..Think.... when do people rent these machines???

Nope. If what you have works, I'd say stick with it. No significant changes/improvements particularly with an entry level machine like this one.

i have the big green.
best investment i ever had for carpet cleaning, but you do need some physical strength to use it. it is quite a work out.

i don't actually recommend those machine to most people, sometime it is better for you not see what your carpet is hiding.

I have a version of this purchased last summer at Walmart. The hose stopped spraying water in the fall after a couple of uses. Took 6 months to get a replacement due to supply issues. My older hoover rug cleaner broke to a little plastic part near the brushes making is useless. I don't like the new version because you have to manually switch the knob from wash to rinse.

Didn't know people decorate their house with carpet shampooers. Guess I better get a nicer looking one. 🤷🏽
You don't keep your carpet cleaner in the middle of your living room and watch TV in your closet like the rest of us?

I just bought the Hoover dual power max pet carpet cleaner for $40 plus $13 shipping at direct tools, seems to be very similar to this for half the price, throw in one of the Hoover vacuums or steam mops and the $13 shipping isn't even that bad. Heck you could get two of the dual powers for $93 in case one breaks instead of this lol

How else would you switch it from wash to rinse? I think the rinse feature is the highlight of this machine since it gets out the soap that would otherwise sit in the carpet. Ours has worked very well for probably a dozen uses over the last couple of years.

My workaround is just to use the rinse side and add cleaner in there. The mixture is 1 cup / gal water so it's not like there is a lot of soap left in the carpet after the dirty water is sucked up. I usually go over the same area twice.
