I always think Visible is the best place to buy unlocked iPhone. They have good deals from time to time and the phone will be unlocked Automatically after 60 days only.

thanks for this post. i'm considering switching but want to know if there's a option to pay off the phone earlier to unlock? or is their phone service good in southern california so committing a year not a risk.

I do have an existing redpocket line with GSMA annual plan.

If i buy the locked iphone with one month plan(throw the sim away - no more monthly renewal), but use the iphone with my existing line?

They have $150 gift cards after 3 months service. Notably, RP's regular prices are inflated, so the difference is only $20 more from Visible for the 13 mini.

RP: $729-$200=$529
Visible: $699-$150 gc=$550

For $20, I'd take 10 months shorter and automatic unlock from Visible. RP is something of a horror show CS wise.

It's really weird that this deal with RP is restricted to GSMA, bc I see tons of complaints on Reddit about GSMA service issues specifically with the iPhone on RP.

Visible had a nice deal on the SE last month (it was posted here) but now they are doing ipods with it, so not as good. Hope something comes back later this month as my wife needs to either renew Mint or switch, and I prefer the month-to-month of visible, at least for a few months so we can align all our renewal dates (we were all on different free Sprint plans, back in the day, with different renewal dates)
