COOLING SYSTEM
The WINDFORCE 3X cooling system features 2x 90mm and 1X80mm unique blade fans, alternate spinning, 7 composite copper heat pipes, large copper plate direct touch GPU, 3D active fan and Screen cooling, which together provide high efficiency heat dissipation.
ALTERNATE SPINNING
Alternate Spinning can reduce the turbulence of adjacent fans and increase air pressure.
SMOOTH AIRFLOW
GIGABYTE turns the adjacent fans in the opposite direction, so that the airflow direction between the two fans is the same, reducing the turbulence and enhancing the airflow pressure.
3D ACTIVE FAN
The 3D Active Fan provides semi-passive cooling, and the fans will remain off when the GPU is in a low load or low power game.
UNIQUE BLADE FAN
The airflow is spilt by the triangular fan edge, and guided smoothly through the 3D stripe curve on the fan surface.
GRAPHENE NANO LUBRICANT
Graphene nano lubricant can extend the life of sleeve bearing fan by 2.1 times, close to the life of double ball bearing, and is quieter.
SCREEN COOLING
Extended heatsink design allows air flow to pass through, providing better heat dissipation.
LARGE COPPER PLATE & HEAT-PIPE
With direct contact to the GPU and VRAM, the large copper plate combines the composite heat pipes to efficiently transfer heat generated from the interior cores to the heat sink.
RGB FUSION 2.0
With 16.7M customizable color options and numerous lighting effects, you can choose lighting effects or synchronize with other AORUS devices.
PROTECTION METAL BACK PLATE
The metal back plate not only provides an aesthetical shape, but also enhances the structure of the graphics card to provide complete protection.

I think $600 is a bit optimistic, but definitely these will hit $700 fairly soon. It's relatively risk free to sit and wait for another few months, especially since there aren't really any games that NEED a 3080 unless you want 4k and well over 60 fps (and even then, even a 3060 Ti with some setting tweaking is a decent 4k card by today's standards, assuming you're not overly concerned with high FPS gaming).
Overpriced for a non ti. Think about how long ago this card came out and these companies holding out and bumping these prices are finally trying to dump them but still at high price. I say screw them and hold off. This version isn't worth more than $500 at this point.

I'm not sure how long ago something came out matters I'd there's not a readily available new generation and that won't be the case for a while so I don't think $500 is realistic. The msrp of it is $750 ish which would mean anything below that is already a discount.
When the 3080 was announced could you buy a 2080 for over 30 percent discount probably not especially with the supply contraiant that will continue to exist

I totally get your point. This is almost a 2 year old card now considering the Ti is the latest release. I don't feel people are getting a deal on this one at this point in time. All personal preference of course.

Yeah is this a deal is another discussion. My question is buying this would be more than sufficient for any game and isn't outdated to play AAA games today and tomorrow.
Ti only has slightly better performance than this and is way more expensive not a good deal if I'm honest. FE was about $1200 which is $500 more than this not worth it at all for a less than 20 percent improvement

Lol I'm having this dilemma with CPU's right now tbh between i9 and i7 and I just can't justify $300 more for 10% difference. Can't believe how well they made the i7's this round. Pulled the trigger on the i7 since for gaming it performs almost equally and gets less hot and less power hungry than i9. Figured I'd dump that $300 I saved on the 13th gen i9 if it's that much better since my MB will support it. But whole other convo of course lol

I have a 2600x and I never utilize more than 60 percent in game only a few games acruallt see notable differences with 5600x
I want you all to know for those of us watching closely i've noticed the prices spiked back up on fathers day. Just think about that after the last few years. I take it personally my self. Nvidia and Amd can go to hell, as can TSMC MSI ASUS and EVGA. They owe us better than this. These prices are still crap.

If you have an Oculus Quest 2 for VR gaming, a 3080 would come in handy.

why don't you buy the 12g for the same price, even if you don't like mail in rebate, i'd buy the 12g for 30 dollar more
