Brother is very good about making it good if there is a problem. My refurbed MFCL2685DW came with a 730 cartridge instead of the 630 it needed. With a phone call Brother quickly shipped me the right cartridge. The full retail version, not a starter cartridge. And they included a prepaid return label for the incorrect one. Was pretty painless overall.
In for one. I like that it has 1 year wtty. Thanks, OP and repped! Be advised that while this allows wi-fi connection, it does not support "Wi-Fi Direct" and does NOT have ethernet connection, only USB 2.0 ...

One review says the starter toner cartridge wasn't included as described 🤔

Refurbished for 79.99 maybe worth it to me but may as well and pay 110 for the new one if just 20 dollar difference.
Yes that's what Im thinking as well. The SO isn't very keen on refurb/ used goods anyway.
I thought I read the new one also drops to $90 sometimes. (I know time machine and all)
But is this it? Is this a good and reliable printed with network printing and duplex capabilities. I'm kind of interested in color. But not a big deal I guess. I don't print much anyway.

Looking for an AIO monochrome brother, any suggestions?
Walmart has the MFCL2690DW at $170, which is a nice price in these times. However, it's only available at local stores for that price, none in stock for shipping on their website unless you pay $236. You may want to check some local stores in your area to see if they have any for curbside pickup. In my case, they also offered free delivery from the local store to my door, probably using Uber or similar. Here's a link:
How come there are no deals for new Brother printers these days? Everything seems to be refurbs. I wonder if there are supply chain issues in getting new printers from manufacturing countries to the U.S.

Chip shortages. Same reason why graphics cards, computer components, cars, etc are more expensive.
