Guys, if you do not see anything, my suggestion is to call T-Mobile and ask if you are eligible for offer P038.

anyone think they'll give a better offer if we wait a bit more?
Not bad for a 'free' se 3rd gen.
My grandmother still has a flip phone, she couldn't get the hang of an iPhone. I tried to help her but it was too difficult. She is in her 80s
I'm on a simple choice plan so I don't mind bill credits.

Did the $430 offer show up when you did it online? Or did it show a different TIV?

I happened to just be calling about a billing question, and I asked the TMo rep about it. She told me yes there's a promotion for 3G phone users for $430 off. I did not mention any specific offer. I actually do have a line with a 5s and placed an order.

I was charged sales tax plus $30. My EIP is showing the SE3 a price of $399.99, so it looks to me it's $400 with the trade and not $430, unless it's a upgrade fee or whatever. Not sure but it's good enough for me.

I took my TM sim and placed it in a unlocked iPhone 5. It recognized the newtork and made a call perfectly. Then even after restart it does not any longer see any carrier. Is there some kind of network setting I should be looking for?

Home wifi enabled in case it needs bandwidth to communicate with TM, but I do not think that matters.

Any tips appreciated.

Appears that I'm eligible, but don't have a 3G iPhone. I do have a 6S laying around, but don't think it will work. Wished that I could process the $430 credit directly on the page with the 6S IMEI number and to confirm the eligibility. Otherwise, there is no point buying the SE.

Wow, I've got 3 iPhone 5 devices laying around that I didn't take advantage of trading in back in the day. I was able to successfully upgrad 3 lines to a mix of iPhone 11's and iPhone se3's. They must really want people off of 3g as they're decommissioning it. Glad I held out and didn't trade in for the n200 android phone.

Tip: Be sure to Place your SIM cards into these iPhone 5 phones so they show up in the trade in list during the ordering process. If you get an error in the ordering process, try signing out and back in. I ended up calling but still placed all the orders via the website, but had to sign out and back in after each individual order.

I was able to place an order online and traded in an old Iphone 4 (Verizon CDMA) that I had lying around for the SE 3rd gen, just had to pay taxes (free 2 day shipping too).
This phone does not even have a sim slot/tray and it is locked to Verizon but I do have 2 lines with older phones and I had received a few text/emails from Tmobile with reminders to upgrade.

So when doing the trade in my older Nokia phone showed up as the default trade in but I was able to switch to a different trade in and once i put in the MEID number (no IMEI) system showed $430 credit via 24 bill credits. I have a SC plan.

Thank you OP!!

I had been thinking about upgrading my older Nokia/LG to a Nord but this is much better for me.
I quickly got a text telling me I could go into a store to return old phone, So I'll try that to get this over with.

I've been getting notifications from TMUS because they gonna turn off 3G next month.

Says trying to call 911 after 3G gone will be impossible.

I have an old xperia that they have been sending me emails to upgrade. When I log in, I see the promo listed under the iphone se 3rd gen but unfortunately the xperia isn't one of the eligible phones. My question is, can I just grab any iphone that's on the list and trade that in? Do I have to connect it to the line for it to be active?
Which devices were listed as eligible? apart from the iPhone5?

I thought my Iphone SE 1st gen A1662 was a 3G only phone but looks like it is a 4G and not eligible..

Tried Offer Code P038 both online and by calling TM, no luck. I do have 3G service w/ Verizon with a Motorola CDMA flip phone.

I went into a Metro by TM store and they had an in-store comparable offer with the IPhone SE (3rd Gen) same deal (transfer 3G cell svc w/ an existing 3G phone to Metro) and get the IPhone SE 3rd gen for $49, but no phones available.

Was able to go on my account, select the line that currently uses an iPhone 5, go to upgrade device, selected the iPhone SE and immediately it gave me this offer. Paid the taxes and should be shipped in the next 2-3 days. Thanks OP! Was looking to upgrade the iPhone 5, but I didn't like the offers T-Mobile made so far.

At which point do you see a $430 credit? TForce said my line #3 is eligible for this offer, but I've put a sim in my iPhone 3gs that has line #4. So I'm kinda confused.
