can you recommend where else you can get a free iPhone SE with no jail time? And free service would be nice too. I do have 6 free lines on T-mobile to do this deal.
You can get from MetroBy T-mobile one month service to get free phone, no jail time (no tax most time if done correctly)

I have 9 lines. At one time every line had two EIP promos. And on the account level, I also had three more EIPs that were paid off but still receiving bill credits. So 21 total.

It is down to 15 EIPs now. I have also paid off a few to do more EIP promos, because each account is allowed only so much credit.

Not sure if they allow that many now, but yeah, you can definitely stack EIPs. You can even pay them off, continue to receive bill credits, do more EIP promos, rinse and repeat.
I have 14, some lines have 3 EIPs

Your line is not free, 24 months jail time is yours, not mention the inflated tax

Why does this specify that the trade-in device needs to be the currently active device on the line? AFAIK this is not true...is this coming form internal documentation or did someone make this up and decide to put it there?

They probably mean that they already pay for the line of service on T-Mobile postpaid anyway, so no additional cost like adding a prepaid line at Metro for a month.

And 24 months is a non-issue for many doing these EIP deals, especially those with grandfathered T-mobile accounts who pay peanuts monthly and are not leaving T-Mobile any time soon. It is only "jail" if you plan on leaving T-Mobile soon or are paying high fees with them.

These EIP deals are not a good deal for everyone, but definitely a great deal for some of us. Same is true for Metro deals. Personally I would not step foot in a scammy Metro store even if the phone was advertised as free. But for others, Metro may be the better option. YMMV.

I am not sure how people who have iPhone 3G/3GS are able to upgrade. The lowest available iPhone model available on the website is iPhone 4. Anyone has a workaround? Call TMobile?

Don't feed the troll. Must be a slow day and nothing better to do than for some to troll a T-Mobile deal. LOL

I pay $240 for 11 unlimited lines, taxes included. Now, here is the kicker: where I live (Montgomery County, MD), the county tax is extra $7 or $8 EACH line in addition to state and federal taxes. T-Mobile includes all these taxes in the $240 already. At Verizon and ATT, $240 can barely cover the taxes. LMAOLMAOLMAO Stick it, stupid ATT & Verizon.

That's robbing T-Mobile... Not imprisonment. yummy

edit: Forgot to add: Got most of my iPhones and Android for literally free over the years....If this is imprisonment, I am glad to live in an imprisonment heaven...
