Guys, if you do not see anything, my suggestion is to call T-Mobile and ask if you are eligible for offer P038.

For all of you folks ordered because of the t-mobile chat rep's promise, you will definitely have to fight for the credit after the facts. I had to call in for another issue after placing my order (I put in the wrong specs for the trade-in device) and the corporate rep confirmed that my account was not eligible for the promo code despite reading through the chat transcript where the Filipino rep insisted that I was eligible, she even brought it up to her supervisor. Long story short, I decided to cancel the order to avoid the hassle but YMMV if you would like to wait until after the facts and fight.
May I know how did you cancel the order?

Has everyone who dropped off their trade devices at a T-Mobile store had a smooth process trading in their phones at a store rather than mailing them?

I mentioned to a T-Force rep that I was planning on dropping off my iPhone 4 at a local T-Mobile store tomorrow, and she made it seem like mailing it was a better option.

She implied that the T-Mobile store employees tend to often mess things up. Maybe in her job she just sees all of the screw-ups and has to help fix them, so that is her perspective.

She said if I decide to drop it off at a store, I should make sure to choose a T-Mobile corporate store. Just wondering now if I should go that route or just mail it as usual.
I bounced around 3 stores:
1st- no clue said we don't take tradeins here …okay,
2nd- struggled to find how to do it, when we got to the final stage screen nazi manager came over said physical damage okay…scratched her out fast
3rd- directed them on where to go otherwise they were unfamiliar but in and out in 5 mins

So you have to tell them to use the "DASH" system it's relatively new once they pull it up there will be a place to type order number, give them the order number your phone shipped with and within that your tradein device is already populated they will have to scroll up and down to find it but once they do it's just a matter of checking off a few inspection questions and they will print the receipt for you and PDF will also show up on your account documents.

You should def. drop off at store especially if there are few nearby, it will make it easier for next time for you and others. I would always choose I store now that I know which store to go to it alleviates shipping nonsense and warehouse rejection. Def go corporate.

It will be fine as long as you have some proof, my promo offers showed up right on account after phone shipped, order placed by phone rep. It's already in their system and tforce is generally quite generous if they are at fault, even if it goes awry, they will make it right…from experience, never failed yet.

I told the phone rep to cancel the order, she asked UPS to halt delivery and send the phone back to T-mobile. Once T-mobile receives the returned phone they will cancel and reverse everything.

You're probably right, I was just setting the expectation for those who placed orders based on the chat rep's promise. If "2022 UMTS Apple Upgrade P1" didn't appear under your line's EIP, then you will need to fight for it afterwards.

Truths

Worst case scenario return within 14 days and chalk it up to misinformation from rep., worth a shot and no restock fees. I wouldn't hesitate to take take a shot as it's a great deal especially if you have 0% financingWink

I guess if you mailed in your old iphone, that is a write-off... No way you're getting that back.

You don't mail in til you see the promo and take screenshots or is only ~$20 if you wish to take a gamble pretty sure we've squandered away more on less of a potential payout lol

To explain the YMMV of this deal, 3G towers shutting down for good very soon. This offer is targeted to people who just flat out refuse to upgrade their phones. Why not give them one of the cheapest 5G phones with an EOL date in the next millennium to keep them on the network? Solid deal but this is a smart play by T-Mobile to retain customers, especially since it's only free after 2 years of bill credits.

EIP only shows the payments and installments. you know you get the promo if it shows up during checkout page that promo is applied to the line if you order it yourself online

You missed pointing out the obvious that what makes this P038 deal smoking hot is that it is specifically for upgrading iPhones. One can get $430 credit toward any iPhone they choose, any model, any color. Other upgrade deals have been mostly for crap entry-level 5g Android devices.

And yes, obviously T-Mobile is not just going to hand out $430 credits for iPhones without requiring some some type of service commitment, otherwise all of us SDers would clean out their inventory within hours if there were no such requirements to upgrade. LOL.

IDK about you but I got a free iPhone SE Gen2 last year with no bill credits or trade in. A budget phone is a budget phone.

Once you enroll this 24 month promo, does it mean that you can not cancel any line? I have 11 lines with Tmobile.
can any one share their experience on cancellation?
