Slow write, but read speeds are fine, if you don't move the data around it's okay.

bummer...good price. Good for a backup data drive rather than a peformance drive where you need high write speeds.

I dunno. I have the 2TB version of this drive singular. But raid generally only improves the raw read write speeds. That doesn't improve the 4kb random write speeds. That's what's responsible for your responsiveness.
