Wish my state would offer some kind of incentive to move from a gas to an electric mower.

How does this compare to the $250 Ryobi lawn mower at Home Depot? Your friend has shared a link to a Home Depot product they think you would be interested in seeing.

https://www.homedepot.com/p/RYOBI.../317061059
That's Ryobi's economy model, I suspect for small, flat lawns (maybe up to 1/5 of an acre or so?) it's going to be amazing. It's extremely light and maneuverable, but not as well built as higher end models. It has a 6Ah battery at 40V = 240 watt hours.

These EGOs are higher end. For starters, 56V * 7.5Ah = 420 watt hours. Much higher run time. I bet these EGOs could pull off half an acre if it was flat and clean and you were easy on the self-propel. They're built tougher and will feel more premium.

Ryobi's model RY401140US is Ryobi's attempt to match EGO and is much more comparable. 2x, 6Ah batteries on 40V = 480 watt hours (plus, with two batteries, one can be charging while the other is in use). This Ryobi model is $550, similar to the EGO (easier to find discounted though).

I don't own all of these but was mower shopping very recently and did a lot of digging. If someone who actually owns these models can confirm, feel free to chime in.

Have had a ego mower for about 8 years. Battery life has decreased to about 25 minutes of use. Need a new battery but they are pricey to replace. And they don't seem to go on sale.

Unfortunately out of the warranty period. I would suggest asking for a replacement battery once close to the 5 year mark. They just ask you to do a self test for run time. You could say any low time and they'll probably replace the battery.

I've had the 2135SP model for a few months now and love it. Gave my Toro away a few weeks later.
Too funny. I got the 2135SP model a couple of months ago myself and I'm looking to give my Toro to our church. One of the best purchases I've made recently.

How does ones stock price in an inertially overall shitty market across the board an indication of "clearance."

The ego brand of lawn care power tools are the best selling in the industry lol.
Think stock = inventory in that post. Besides, I don't think ego/chervon is publicly traded.

Why do Posters keep regurgitating the same deal that's been going on for months?

Judging by stocks. These are 2 months away from going on clearance. But we'll see
1 month plus the july 4th discounts. I dont know why people would buy these now. Guess they dont know

which would you buy? The $500 Greenworks at Costco deal that we see time to time? Or the $500 Ego mower on this deal? Please explain why. I'm thinking about buying a mower and not sure which to choose. Thanks for your help!

I'm in the same boat though Costco discount is gone for now and I don't know it will come again this season. The Costco no hassle return policy is pulling me towards Greenworks even though GW's own website is cheaper at this point with 25% discount.

Sorry, I can wait for the Costco deal if the Greenworks is better. Should've mention that earlier.

Bought in on this deal a year ago. I've been mostly satisfied with the mower - but the battery doesn't last long enough to cut my lot (0.37 acres, less a 15' natural area in the back and the house itself). It doesn't do well on unflat land, and I found I had to cut my grass (bermuda hybrid tiftuf) higher than I'd like. It isn't a perfect cut, but it looks 10x my neighbor's weeds.

I've now bought into the infrastructure, and have 6 tools - 2 leaf blowers and a back pack blower (leaf blowers are awesome), hedgetrimmer (better than my Ryobi), chain saw and weed whacker (haven't used the last 2 yet). I've bought most from Acme tools refurbished - check them out for sales. I bought in so that I can plug in another battery while the mower 7.5 is recharging.
I do not have any batter operated tools and looking for a decent leaf blower.

What leaf blowers do you have and do they do good job for a large size heavy leaves and debris yard?

My lowes loaded up on these. All of the on sale models. During May when it was supposed to be on sale for a couple of weeks. The fact that they keep extending the sale means they're looking to move product. If it remains stale even with these sales. They're going to have to lower the price point.

Also didn't say it was a bad product.

Great deal. I am currently going through ego warranty hell with my mower. One of the relays went out, while under warranty, and the local repair shop ego referred me to put me on a waiting list for the repair, #7 with no idea as to when they could get to me. Completely unacceptable in this day and age. Another call to ego Monday morning.
To be fair I think part supply issues are pretty universal right now and probably not within their control. I'm currently three weeks in waiting for a new compressor for my two month old fridge that is out of stock with no ETA. The failure is their fault for sure, but not sure what they can do about shortages due to supply chain failures and shutdowns. Feel your pain though!

I have the Ego self-propelled for 1/3 of an acre. I can't do it all on one charge which is annoying. I used to only use it for the front yard because the back yard is uneven but with gas prices I'm now using for both. On uneven ground it has a tendancy to miss cutting some grass in the middle for some reason so I have to go over spots a few times and I'm worried it will wear it out sooner, but don't want to deal with the increased ethanol that the Biden admin authorized ruining my gas mowers (riding and push mower).

Anyone have experience with about a half acre that is fairly hilly. We mulch, so I think that would help as we wouldn't be carrying the extra weight in the bag, but still unsure if we'd be able to mow fully on one charge. I'm pretty tired of the noise and the scratchy throat from mowing, though I think electric doesn't fully eliminate the throat as I'm sure the pollen comes into play.

Good to know about not being able to finish 1/3. I imagine some folks that can might have nice flat yards to get optimal life from the battery.
