Individually these are $119.91 right now
24.97+34.97+59.97 = 119.91

Even better, rolling base [homedepot.com] is $59.97 and middle/top combo [homedepot.com] is $58.97 for a total of $118.94 woot

I guess it depends on the flexibility and which pieces you want. I'd personally load up on the $25 top pieces [homedepot.com] as they seem to be a perfect size for my needs.

Yes the $25 smaller boxes are the best deal. And if you don't need or want to use the small orange parts bins that come with them, you can remove the inner piece on the lid to create even more storage room.

I primarily use these boxes without the inner lid to store my tools. A little modification goes a long ways.

I grabbed one of these at a garage sale a few weeks ago but only the roller and the 2nd larger box. Ended up getting the crate for $25 just to have something I can access easily and take with me to the part of the house I'm working on. Probably could have gotten away with a milk crate but I like the way the Ridgid snaps on.

I wanted this for a long time but ended up getting the Husky for $89.00. It's not quite as big or robust, but I like it fine. I actually like the fact the main tool box with the wheels doesn't have a lid. What bothered me about the Ridgid is all the play in the telescoping handle. I noticed this in person and some online reviewers has brought it up as well. When you go to lean the tool box back to roll it, there is a lot of play in the handle, like maybe as much as 3" inches, it just kind of makes the whole presentation feel cheap and chintzy, even though the boxes themselves are pretty good quality.

Any one have these that can testify to how well the seals hold?
I don't need total water proof but I'd like to be able to keep the rain out while in the bed of the truck heading home.

Don't personally own them but thinking about picking them up after seeing in store at 19.98, 29.98 and 49.98.

I've read through a lot of reviews on home Depot and lots of people commented on them being water proof, including the use case of truck bed driving home in the rain.

I got 2 of the small cases and one base.
Can tell you these smell bad. Even got my clothes stinky.
So now they will sit out on the back deck for 4 or 5 days to degas.

Honestly, I liked the Milwaukee ones much better but at three times the cost of these, I'll make do with the Ridgid .

You can, but the wheeled unit will not be able to handle that much torque on the handle.
And if you have any weight at all, it will more than likely break the handle.
Others have posted about how flimsy the handle is, and I can vouch for that being the case here.
I got mine strictly because of the price point and I didn't plan on heavy tools or heavy use.
Honestly, I wanted the Milwaukee system because I feel that it's a much higher quality and the rolling case is solid. But, since I'm a "light" user, I couldn't justify the double the cost of the Milwaukee set up.
FWIW, the Ryobi cases are pure junk. Couldn't believe they even made it after seeing how the quality is.
My local store didn't have any Dewalt so I never got a chance to test those cases out.

Be prepared to let these sit outside for a few days to off gas. They smell horrible.
