I guess it depends on the flexibility and which pieces you want. I'd personally load up on the $25 top pieces [homedepot.com] as they seem to be a perfect size for my needs.
I primarily use these boxes without the inner lid to store my tools. A little modification goes a long ways.

I don't need total water proof but I'd like to be able to keep the rain out while in the bed of the truck heading home.

I've read through a lot of reviews on home Depot and lots of people commented on them being water proof, including the use case of truck bed driving home in the rain.
Can tell you these smell bad. Even got my clothes stinky.
So now they will sit out on the back deck for 4 or 5 days to degas.
Honestly, I liked the Milwaukee ones much better but at three times the cost of these, I'll make do with the Ridgid .

And if you have any weight at all, it will more than likely break the handle.
Others have posted about how flimsy the handle is, and I can vouch for that being the case here.
I got mine strictly because of the price point and I didn't plan on heavy tools or heavy use.
Honestly, I wanted the Milwaukee system because I feel that it's a much higher quality and the rolling case is solid. But, since I'm a "light" user, I couldn't justify the double the cost of the Milwaukee set up.
FWIW, the Ryobi cases are pure junk. Couldn't believe they even made it after seeing how the quality is.
My local store didn't have any Dewalt so I never got a chance to test those cases out.
Be prepared to let these sit outside for a few days to off gas. They smell horrible.
