Step 1: Sign up for Yahoo Plus Protect Mobile [yahoo.com] for $5/month.
Step 2: Wait 30 days
Step 3: File claim and pay $49 deductible.
Step 4: Have your phone repaired in an hour at any local UBreakIFix shop.

Easy Peasy.

ETA: My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S10.

Yeah, so these Samsung mail ins are just for the screen replacement. I work at a UbreakiFix, and the kits we get are screen + frame of device + battery. I'm assuming a Fold they're only going to replace with a new frame and battery, not sure if they even do just screen repairs for the Folds and Flips due to design.

Kudos for Samsung for providing this. Looking at you Apple and Microsoft. Surface duo screen repair is 700 seriously?

Seems like you can do walk in repair - is it same price?

My wife needs this badly on her S10. But there is no way she could be without her phone for upwards of a week if not more.

Unless you have a "backup" phone then I don't see who would be able to do this nowadays.

I think I'm being dense, but if the screen picture is damaged (e.g. a huge black spot on the screen, under the glass) this will not be repaired, correct?
Seems like they will replace the whole display only (glass/touch digitizer/OLED display) as a whole. They will not replace the metal housing/frame because they said if there is any dent of the housing around the front glass borders, it does not qualify. The new glass/touch digitizer/display must sit in your current housing without issues.

To be eligible for the Promotion, the device's frame, the area around the display meeting the frame bezel, must be free of dents or deep scratches around the edge of the device and the frame must not be bent."

This deal is for those who have old cracked devices to fix and trade-in for max trade-in value. Or you can ask friends for same carrier used devices to use in the interim and mail hers out.. You won't find a better deal IMHO. I usually have a few devices that I lend to local friends in times like these. I always say to have a backup phone.. In case even if someone steals your phone and you need one to tie you over.

My phone does not show up in my account.. I have note 20 ultra. I tried to register and it says it's already registered. Called technical dept and they can't tell me or see if the phone is registered to another account or not. Any idea on how to fix this problem? I m stuck with the chicken or the egg game.. To get this promo the phone must be registered in the account if not I need to register it. If I check my account the phone does not show up registered and if I want to register it gives me error that the phone is already registered. Calling Samsung repair does not help with promo as it has be done from customer side via loggging in Samsung account 🙄🙄

Do they actually repair your unit? Most times they immediately ship you a different in stock refurb
Most likely will replace the screen (glass/digitizer/display) only, not as they do at Service Centers (replacing screen+housing as one-piece) since they never mentioned to back up and wipe the device. It's not a trade-in for refurb. It's the process of refurbishing the front screen only.

I was literally just about to post the same thing. I agree, it looks like they'll replace the whole thing with this promotion, but I'm still not sure. Samsung chat support is utterly useless.... When I start the repair claim it gives two options; one is this promotion for $50, the other is called "screen module replacement" and costs $308. It lists "LCD Repair" as $180. That repair includes replacement of "screen, bezel, and battery." There is no details about the promotion repair, other than that they'll replace the "screen."

***Edit: After speaking with the UbreakIfix guys they definitely will include the LCD in this repair, since there is NO WAY to replace just the glass. It's one repair and includes the whole thing. I'm in!

My s9+ cracked both front and back. I wonder how they handle this? Would there be shipping charge both ways if it doesn't work out? Is there a way to contact them to ask these questions before sending the phone out? Thanks.
Does this promotion include replacement of a cracked back glass?
No. This promotion only covers displays that are cracked or have cosmetic damage to the front of the device. Devices mailed to Samsung with a cracked back glass will be ineligible for this promotion. Customers will be contacted for payment options for back glass replacement.

I've got a similar issue. A search said that trying to do the promo from the actual device might give the "already registered" error. Seemed to go better from a laptop browser but I can't find the promo after logging in. I'd like to get it all set to send in but not actually mail it until a week from Friday. Going on vacation until then and don't want to try and get by with my old s6. I guess I'll keep trying.

Was it purchased at a US store? Or is it international unlocked model?

"Is this promotion specific to device purchased on Samsung.com?
No. Participation in this promotion is not dependent on a specific retailer or carrier the device was purchased from, but the device must be a US device. Promotion only applies to U.S. Samsung mobile cellular device models. Devices that have PBA damage, have liquid/corrosion damage, or are international models are excluded from this Promotion."

What does it say for the $50 promo?

I don't think SBI issues will qualify.
They mention Cracked many times:

"Promotion only applies to U.S. Samsung mobile cellular device models. Devices that have PBA damage, have liquid/corrosion damage, or are international models are excluded from this Promotion."

I suggest reading the plainly explained Terms and Conditions https://www.samsung.com/us/suppor...er-samsung
