One thing to note with this offer is that you can claim the 80,000 points with this and then downgrade the card to a Double Cash in a year. Effectively giving the Double Cash a 800$ sub

1) Meet spending requirement on Citi Premier card
2) Earn 80,000 point sign up bonus
3) Downgrade Premier to Double Cash or Custom Cash before you're charged with another annual fee
4) Points balance should carry over from Premier to your downgrade card

Approved with a ~10.7k limit (score ~775). Interestingly, I initially received a "We will let you know in 7-10 business days" message and received a phone call ~45 mins - 1 hr post-app submission. The representative re-verified my information & told me that I'd been approved for the CC.

I got the same card and bonus more than 2 years ago, had a tough time using points, settled with GC purchases, and then downgraded the card to Double Cash Back, which is still active. Can someone explain the process of getting $800 redemption rather than Gift Cards?
Also, does anyone know, what Credit Card Bureau Citi pulls credit from nowadays?

I was approved for the Citi Custom Cash which earn thank you points Dec of 2021.
You think I would get the bonus if I apply for the Citi Premier card?
