I have the $300 per year plan with 8GB data and I've been on the phone with customer service. They wont change my data to 16GB. I was on the phone with them 35min to argue. I asked for a supervisor and they hung up. I'm not giving up though.

If it's India, Whatsapp is you friend. You do not want to do DID international dialing on any carrier unless it is included. You should look into RedPocket if you are 100% on DID or alternatively Google voice is 1c/min. I have used whatsapp 99% of the time and if I need to Google Voice.
Thanks. The reason I needed was to call my parents and grand parents who still use old Nokia button phones and don't know how to use smartphone. Smilie.. thanks for the reply. I will check the Google voice option.

Just curious is it just $300 flat I have to pay? Or are there taxes and service fees on top of that?

There will be some taxes tacked on when you check out. Not bad... like 30ish bucks I think it was for me. I don't remember exactly, but it's in that neighborhood.

I moved from visible wireless to this deal. Just my experience that in congested areas visible wireless is de-prioritized and becomes very slow. ATT prepaid is much better in that aspect.

If you pay directly with CC on ATT website then there's taxes/fees on top (probably $20-$30) -- this option is easier to sign up and pay initially

If you buy ATT Prepaid digital refill cards from Target's website then they don't charge any taxes/fees -- you have to jump through some hoops to pay with refill cards initially:
https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=155742097&postcount=224

You can also save 5% using Redcard or 5% using Discover card this quarter ($300 refills will be $285) -- sometimes they also have refill cards on sale (bought mine few weeks ago $300 refills - 10% sale = $270 - 5% Discover = $256)

When you provide the port in information, it asks for the current carrier social security number, which we don't have at Visible. What do you put in that box? thnks

If your old carrier doesn't have SSN on file then you can just make something up (1234 or whatever)

When does this expire? Or alternatively, how long to I have to activate this deal after signing up( immediately?) I'd like to wait til the pixel 7 comes out and do everything all when I upgrade. I think that's around aug or sept.

Additional Info regarding service in India - WiFi calling was available with Visible and with second SIM data (Airtel /Jio or local SIM) you can always get and make calls with US number. Not sure if this ATT prepaid offers WiFi calling in India with the same price.

Op was asking about calling India from the us so +1 to +91, not roaming in India. You are correct with a newer iPhone you can use any us physical sim and an international data esim to retain us calls in any foreign country it does not solve physical did (regular dial) from one country to another unless you have a physical sim plan that allow that like say redpocket.

Google voice is nice because you can tell it to run over data versus carrier volte and that way you save the outrageous international calling fees many carriers charge. it's not free but it is reasonable. most people outside the us use WhatsApp or WeChat so those all run over data and you avoid that situation altogether.

If I'm a current AT&T postpaid customer, can I pay $20 to port my number to Google voice and immediately open one of these prepaid accounts back with AT&T? I don't want a new number.
port your old number to tmobile for 10

start a new account with this promo

port afterwards 3 steps

always set up a new number in same market as your old number or else you will not be able to port
