I have the $300 per year plan with 8GB data and I've been on the phone with customer service. They wont change my data to 16GB. I was on the phone with them 35min to argue. I asked for a supervisor and they hung up. I'm not giving up though.

If I port-out AT&T Postpaid to some other carrier (Mint, Google Fi, etc.,) and come back to AT&T Prepaid, is there any wait period on the AT&T side to come back to?

Current AT&T Postpaid customer. I bought 2x of these plans, but kept getting conflicting information about if I could port my number over from postpaid to prepaid. I ordered 2 of the plans online & was told to select a new number, then when the sim kits arrive, just go to my local store to port the number over.

My first stop at the closest AT&T store was a failure because it was just an "authorized retailer" store. They told me to call 611/customer service. After I explained everything to them, they said I have to go to an actual corporate store.

So off to the corporate store I went, only for them to tell me they can't port my number over from postpaid to the prepaid.

Total nightmare & probably 3 hours wasted so far.

So far I haven't actually activated the new lines yet and/or set up a pin number. I don't think I've been charged yet & not sure if/when the charge will go through if I never activate.

What are my options here? Just port to the t-mobile 10 dollar plan, keep that for a few days & then try to activate my prepaid plan & port my number over? That or just never activate the plan & hope they don't charge me?

I have repeated this over and over throughout the many pages of this thread.

The ONLY sure way to get this done is to PORT your numbers to tmobile prepaid plans 10 dollars each plus 10 dollars activation each in store

Get the PINS account info etc at the same time.

activate both plans that you received with the new numbers by paying or slide them into your phones and your CC will get charged.

call 1-888 port activations and give them your new number and PIN that you set up and ask them to port the tmobile from the store earlier in the day.

rinse and repeat for second line

Done

I just hang up and call back.

I don't let them turn in circles too long.

If I see the agent is not knowledgeable I don't waste my time
None of their representatives are knowledgeable. Bad customer service.

Mentioned many times before this is an ONLINE promo or done yourself.

NOT available in store.

Grab a 5 dollar sim from att and with att prepaid activations link enter SIM number IMEI and zip code and it will let you choose the 8 plus 8 plan

ask for a refund in store
