I have the $300 per year plan with 8GB data and I've been on the phone with customer service. They wont change my data to 16GB. I was on the phone with them 35min to argue. I asked for a supervisor and they hung up. I'm not giving up though.

I'm still going round and round with my current attempt at the 16GB plan, never got my promised call back from a supervisor. But while your responding on this topic. IF I try another line my next line will be coming from Tracfone (Verizon Sim). Do you know if the 1888 port activation can do that port easily?
yes it can

again avoid at all costs keeping your number when you order sim

One thing I have not understood after all these messages.
Does anyone know if we get this deal with $300 for 16gb ATT will be honoring the same 16gb every year or it is going to be reverted back to 8gb?
Would this 16gb become standard plan and somehow the 8gb will not be given anymore?

From previous promos the promo renews

why are you so worried about what will happen in 360 days?

Online ATT reps are saying 16gb promo will continue on renewal as long as you don't make any plan changes:
https://forums.att.com/conversati...d23?page=1

I'm sure a few people will take one for the team next year so you can wait and see what happens with their renewal -- otherwise move on next year

8gb annual plan came out 3yrs ago and people were saying that ATT won't keep it for long but they kept it going so far without any changes -- no one knows how long they'll keep 8gb as the standard

To follow up on this, are we able to enter multiple gift cards on the att site or does att limit it to only one? If I understand correctly, when buying gift cards from target, we need to buy in $50 or lower denominations in order to take advantage of their sale. So, would then need to be able to add multiple gift cards to the att site. Like 6 of them @ $50 each….thx.
Is there any sale for the gift cards currently? Just received the sim card after placing order using a virtual cc.

I signed up for the plan after porting from T-Mobile. When logging into my plan it is listed as the "$25 monthly 8gb promo plan". I don't see any mention of 16gb, but I did when purchasing the plan.

Is this accurate? What is listed for other people?

don't hold your breathe about 16gb becoming standard so you can get up to 32gb next month… 25 a month is pretty kickass for this level of service

I only see "$25 8gb promo plan" as the name of the plan I am on. I just ported in from T-Mobile on Friday, worried I wasn't provisioned the correct plan

Other than the discount from the prefill card purchase, is there any additional savings like on taxes?

Here's a quick rundown of my experience, but I was finally able to move over and keep my number from AT&T Postpay (paying about $150/month for 2 lines) to this AT&T Prepaid deal (paying only about $50/month!)
  1. Ordered 2x of the prepaid cards from the link on this posting. When ordering, I selected a new number. The cards arrived in a couple days.
  2. Ordered 2x of the T-Mobile $10 prepay plan (and 2 sim card kits) for $40 total. When ordering, I selected a new number. These arrived in a couple days.
  3. Installed the new t-mobile sim card into my phone & it activated instantly. Then I set up an online account and created a pin/etc.
    1. The pin you create here is the same as the port authorization pin code. Should be a 6 digit pin.
  4. Called the T-Mobile Prepay Port number at 1-877-778-2106, they were able to port my AT&T postpaid number over within minutes
    1. Have your AT&T "wireless account number" ready. This is NOT the number on your AT&T bill. The number on your bill is a bundled account number representing any/all AT&T services you may have (phone, internet, TV, etc). A quick call in to AT&T's customer service was able to get me the actual wireless account number.
    2. Have your AT&T port authorization pin code ready. You can generate this by logging in to your AT&T postpaid account.
    3. If you're porting multiple numbers, it will be the same pin code.
  5. Installed my new AT&T prepay sim card & it activated instantly. Then I set up an online account and created a pin/etc.
    1. This created an AT&T prepaid account with the new/temporary number assigned from AT&T.
    2. The first phone I did this with, it charged my credit card instantly as soon as I put the sim card in. On my 2nd phone, I had to log in to the AT&T prepay account online and add my credit card to fund the account.
  6. Now that your phone number has been ported to T-Mobile, check to make sure your phone number is eligible to port back to AT&T. It might take a few minutes: https://www.att.com/wireless/tran...ur-number/
    1. If your phone number here shows up as not eligible, then you're going to have problems.
  7. From your AT&T prepaid phone, call 611 for AT&T customer service, and press 0 to speak to a rep. Ask for a port request & you'll have to provide the agent with the t-mobile account number & pin code from earlier.
    1. Both times I did this, the agent told me "the port will be completed in 3-4 hours". This is crazy and these ports can be done almost instantly.
    2. After giving your information to the rep, when they tell you it will take XX hours, kindly ask to speak to someone in the actual port department. You may have to go to a supervisor first, but be persistent and eventually if you can get ahold of someone in the actual port department, they will process your port with you on the phone & its so quick your phone will actually disconnect after they are done & your number will be ported.
Special thanks to all the members on this thread who have shared their experiences & tips on how to get this deal! I've been an AT&T postpaid customer & have had the same phone number for 20+ years... so the thought of porting my number off postpaid, then to t-mobile, then back to prepaid seemed scary/daunting at first, but in the end it was worth it! The entire process took a couple hours total, with me doing 1 phone number at a time.

For what its worth, after 2 failed attempts to switch from postpaid to prepaid at physical AT&T stores, I did this entire process online & never left the house.

Like I said the key step is the setup NEW lines at att prepaid to be able to port onto these NEW lines the tmobile lines you ported over you postpaid lines

Now I know we all we want to do this from out couch but it is FASTER to do this in store and almost instantaneous

Glad you were able to save how much? The in store activation? In store I thought it was 10 for the sim and 10 for the activation per line.
