Personally love Highschool DxD. Yes it's shameless fan service, but with a pretty cool story and some awesome animation if you're into angels and demons and epic battles. Having said that, easier and cheaper to just watch on Hulu or crunchyroll than buying blu rays.
I know its subjective, but dude, AoT S01 is gold lol

Wtf happened to Attack on Titan? It turned into a slow boring soap opera.

Because "Time-Skips" are series killers.. happened to One Piece, AoT, Naruto, and some other anime's I can't think of Quality goes down after a time skip.. I used to love one piece but after the time skip it pretty much went to sh*t every Arc after that was Bad Same with Naruto the akatsuki was the only good thing that came out of it. Story wise though it sucked

Why is it Funimation and Crunchyroll are both selling premium plans even after the merger..
Funimation platform is being discontinued. They told all previous subscribers to not renew and try Crunchyroll, giving a free 3 month promo. Do not sign up for a Funimation paid account.

A shame since I was grandfathered into Funimation for cheap, but the app constantly broke.

Eureka Seven is hands down my favorite and a very underrated anime, almost nobody ever talks about it and it's incredibly good.

If you're older, it won't have the same impact I think. I saw it first when I was fourteen and it really hit hard, now over a decade later it's not *as* emotionally powerful but it's still a good watch. It's basically a surfer love story with a mecha twist and definitely worth at least checking out.
I liked it. It's not a classic but it should be if you are into Ghost in the Shell, mecha, and romance especially the kind that the couple have to fight to stay together.

There was a hint of Evagalion in E7 but it did not let the self-loathing took over the whole series so that was also a plus. I hated Evagalion because they beat the self-loathing / depression to death like that's the only emotion they know how to fill any gaps.

I totally agree on the age thing. IMO the best age to enjoy E7 is between 15 and 25. I am 45 so I will let the good memory stay and not rewatch it.

Other good anime on my list
A Place Further than the Universe
ReLife
Yuru Camp
Yozakura Quartet - Hana no Uta
