I have this in grey, it's a nice pack for a non-briefcase work bag. I do think it's probably not up to being used by kids for school, but it works really well for a work bag. It isn't terribly huge, but can fit a laptop, a notebook, water bottle, and maybe a small lunch bag.
I have this in gray. Use it daily for work to transport my laptop to work. It is stylish. I wouldn't want to walk around with it on a campus with a laptop. My lunch bag fits inside fine. I like the small pocket in the front. This is where I put my keys, wallet, and badge. Quick grab things that I need. Been using it for 2 years now. My previous backpack was a timbuk2.
I use this for my laptop and some extra items, really only put it in my car to and from work (very light use) and the strap started to fray within probably 2 months. Still works, has good style, smaller and thinner than some of my other bags, but this is definitely a $12 bag, definitely not good for a heavy duty daily.
I have other, bigger, higher quality laptop backpacks or other backpacks I've used on and off for the last 20 years with absolutely 0 wear over time.
Data point for anyone interested. Bought this about a year and half ago during a sale. I think it was 8 or 9 back then. Mainly used it as a work travel bag. Then upgraded to a nice canvas bag because I love canvas. However, I kept using this bag as a travel bag. Quick two day trips, even as a bigger guy, I was able to fit a change of clothes, laptop and work accessories, snacks, and if I packed really well, possibly a small bottle in the bag.
I have not been kind to this bag. I'm not rough with it, but I've overstuffed it to the point I thought it would break. Has kept going like a champ. I use it for this now. Quick two day trips, even for relaxing trips.
Definitely a randomly good bag purchase for me. The blue is more saturated in person, but still nice and light.
