Hart is made by the same company that makes Ryobi. I'd say Hart is equivalent to the lower end Ryobi tools and meant to compete with Black and Decker. Many of the Hart power and lawn tools look very similar to the Ryobi versions, just a different color and battery style.
Great deal for homeowner grade tools, don't let the naysayers who will soon flood in about team black and yellow or white and red, for the average person hart does the job just fine. If you want to be a brand snob and hang with the real pros just skip over dewalt or milwaukee and head straight to hilti, snapon, or festool they have some $800 drills they would love to sell you.
Yea wrong tool. You're looking for an impact wrench. This is an impact driver. They work under the same premise but the driver has about 1/4 to 1/8th the impact power.

the 1.5 Ah batteries seem low. Is that the norm for these types of tools? thanks
You can buy more amps, they sell them, just costs money, but yes it affects run time and torque.

Doesn't matter for minor home owner tasks.

Thanks that's what I thought. I wasn't sure if it would be a max of 10 minutes or more like 20-30.

Hart also makes 2Ah and 4Ah 20V batteries. I picked up the 6 piece kit when they were on clearance for $50.00 just to get the 4Ah battery and circular saw. One of the Wallys by me had a 2Ah battery on clearance for $20.00 last week so I grabbed it.

What's wrong with Ryobi
The color. Otherwise Ryobi is awesome.

Wow … that was a pretty amazing deal. But it was a YMMV B&M deal with hit or miss results. It might come around again, but actually finding one like that is kind of a crapshoot

Yeah that's how I feel. Probably just snag this and try and pick up the circ saw another time

The batteries are the smallest ones they make, so you might want to buy a bigger one if you have a long project planned. At this price I'd recommend it to anyone who has an occasional need of power tools
Do Ryobi batteries work with hart tools?
Thanks

Nope. I've seen a number of adapters between different brands (see vid below for examples) but I haven't found any Ryobi to Hart or vice versa yet. Also, the extra stem on Ryobi batteries would make using them with adapters more bulky than most of the flat batteries.

I'll pull the trigger. I just moved into a house and need to install a bunch of curtain rods, etc. I was originally planning on getting a rental from Home Depot.

Yeah, it's great for stuff like that and no need for the bigger bulky batteries unless you're dealing with bigger projects.

Tell that to the Milwaukee m12 fuel impact driver...

Your lack of understanding the appropriate tools for the job is pathetic. Do yourself a favor, Google the tool to learn the correct usage/applications they're meant for. When you break a tool using it the wrong way, you killed your warranty coverage too. Plus it's embarrassing and others will discredit any of knowledge of tools you think you may have, as many have done here already. Unless you're 9 years old, there really isn't an excuse for that.

They're pretty good for home owners, I'd just recommend upgrading to better quality bits and blades.
